Re: Unreal Tournament 469

Yes, merging textures can be an answer, but also it depends on internal names used for texture blocks. They used similar names for different texture and then... won't match some walls or causing borks - happened in MyLevels due to these similar names but different content of textures. These are a s...

Re: Some of my curiosity

Short answer: No. There is no reason you'd want to alter texture properties on something that is rendered invisible.

Re: Soundz Thread ^_^ = post your favourite tunes

YT algorythms are a weird yet sometimes beautiful thing.

It's a pretty mellow rock / stoner mix, perfect for kicking back with a brew.

Re: Unreal Tournament 469

Speaking of Warp Zones. I'd love to see them work with instahit weapons. Long term development, of course.

Re: Are these broken or just half broken ?

The base cost for LiftCenter is 400. It's not a thing specifically tied to this map. Also, usually there is no need for NextNavigationPoint as lifts can also be used two ways when a bot decides to jump down the lift path. Otherwise it'd prevent the bot from doing so. Only thing needed to work are sp...

Re: Unreal Tournament 469

I can probably give the editor features a whirl once it's publicly beta.

Re: Texture alignment on pillars.

Something like that. Shouldn't make much of a difference on 256 pixels, though.

Re: Texture alignment on pillars.

Note: 256² textures on a 45° angle have ~1.42 scale for alignment (I believe 1.4166666). That or half. Pretty handy number to know if you're texture aligning.

Re: [Request] UT99 converter to UT2k4

Well, OP probably asks to convert UT99 to UT2k4 IF I'm reading the topic correctly. Certainly easier than reverse engenieering 2k4 maps back to UT. However, you'd still have to rescale everything properly to account for the difference in gameplay. Not sure it's worth it spending hours of that portin...

Re: [Request] Maps "2" UT99

An automated port is likely out of the question. You might be able to port over basic BSP structure, maybe even nodes and lights. But not all actors, meshes, and even textures can be ported without extra work, if ever. So more likely is a complete rework from scratch for each map. Suit yourself.

Re: Favourite other games?

Mass Effect Trilogy is an alltime favorite. Used to play a lot of Warframe (hey, it's made by Digital Extremes, so). Last couple of years it's been a lot of XCOM 2 War of the Chosen. It's highly moddable and has a lot of replay value. Also, Fallout New Vegas. So many hours spent modding that game an...

Re: How to make descending smoke

It's been a while since I've used those. You might probably want to use either particle effects. I'm not sure which is which anymore but there is a particle system out there, and I've used an actor called JPparticleeffect in my CTF maps (Selket and Peak17). Not sure which is associated with jumppack...
