DEP is to prevent some sudden errors. The rest of INI writing are coming from OS permissions. Even in Win XP if you are User not admin, several system areas cannot be changed. This isn't and never has been necessary to run UT99 It's about Editor (as in title actually). And when randomly Editor goes retarded (even UT game in isolated cases), solution is disabling DEP and will improve behavior. And even in UT's Editor I have buttons for aligning without saving in map bits of 227 which UT doesn't have. Buttons are easy to do. The most interesting thing which I found (others might been knowing it for months-years) is that you can copy any brush to red builder, then you can deintersect/inters...

I cannot answer what's there how many are history and how many are real, but I can say ONE true thing: When I removed those X things and rebuilding CLEAN paths, it was heading to a smaller map with good kilobytes - keeping them like that really doesn't make sense. 2 things: GRID and ReachSpecs.
Misaligned brushes are not a fancy thing to be proud of it, and seriously 40000+ reachspecs. Paths build was done multiple times. Pathing is EASY, I don't get this useless load.

Easy fix is to just...re-make the brush. I think it's a semi-solid? And staying at Grid as much as possible is a bless too :| .
