Only scent-based trigger I'm familiar with is from the Spatial Fear mod. Is it used elsewhere too? There is not such support in default UT's setup but... another stuff can be developed. Note: This way of doing has been fired in some evening when I was testing some map. I was telefraged multiple times and I got mad in my testing spree. In that moment I went to think at some solution. Not the best ever, but... better than nothing. I did not aimed effects and fancy looking occurrences...

At a moment I suspect that simulated things done for authoritative actions might do nasty things, client should not be involved in authoritative decisions of server (damaging, some movement, etc.) - they might go off timing - just my 2 cents here because I was witnessing such a package crashing clie...

Replication might be... interesting or annoying, That chapter did not really fascinated me but I had to fix some issues, so was necessary to log things and to figure what actors does what and where (server/client).
