Re: An appeal for files

I've never taken money. I don't even have a paypal.

I wouldn't like anything from anyone aside from any old zips of mods you might have stored up. I really just want your files if you think you might have a unique or seldom shared package.

Re: An appeal for files

It may be easier for you and I to use BTSync rather than FTP because I'm sure your collection is massive. The drive has almost a terabyte of room and I have several back-up drives as well. Space won't be an issue. I'll meet you wherever it is easiest for you and I'd take everything. I'm uploading my...

Re: Beta Master Server

....and now I'm interested. So I'm thinking about this and I don't see an obvious way to flag non-human players aside from using some level of guessing. The only value that really changes and would be monitored by a server feed is a players ping. It would be trivial to code the bots to display ping ...

Re: An appeal for files

That's a really good answer, and honestly I'd like to hear yours if you have a better one. I asked a bunch of people and even sought out some long term storage solutions (Amazon's Glacier for instance). The end result of everything is either: -Cost -Access -Requires a caretaker UT-Files is low cost ...

Re: An appeal for files

Thank you P. You upload any way you want. I'll take raw files, whatever. I don't mind to do the legwork organizing and compiling if it saves you the trouble. I know pretty much everything at a glance so it goes quickly. Thank you for considering it!

An appeal for files

Over at OldUnreal there was a good discussion on how to best save the files for Unreal. The community is withering away and the people remaining are starting to age out of interest in gaming (yours truly for instance). A bunch of ideas were kicked around but no really good winner emerged. I went out...

Re: My last upload...might be a lengthy read

ISense, I sent you the password. Since you play a lot of PUBG let me know how you think that might have gone had I been able to finish it. Was I even close? I really think it would have been a fun mod. Be warned that the rounds run way too fast since I needed them to be super fast for testing. It's ...

Re: My last upload...might be a lengthy read

See what I mean paper? This is why the community is dead. Look single-post guy, I've spent years giving away every single thing I've ever done. The source included in everything I post. Tell you what, do me a favor and host that link on your personal website. Let's see how cavalier you are then. Wha...

Re: My last upload...might be a lengthy read

Let me explain a little further so you guys don't think I'm being an asshole. I didn't 'emulate' PUBG, I flat copied it. I made all the textures as replicas, the gameplay is a carbon copy as far as I could make it. If you look at in-game screenshots versus shots from PUBG you'd go "Oh yeah, thi...

My last upload...might be a lengthy read

I hadn't intended to post again but I'm migrating computers and this folder was sitting there staring at me. Might as well share it. OK, this might be a long read so just bear with me. The TL/DR is this is a gametype. It's not quite done but I'm out. Finish it if you want but know there are legal is...

Re: New computer! Unreal Editor 2.0 Won't Load Maps!

You don't need to install it fresh, you can just remove the UT.ini and user.ini and restart the game. It will generate new ini's that you can then edit as you like. This in effect is a fresh install, meaning it will not carry the memory of the old environment and try to apply those settings.

Re: pics or it didn't happen - suggestion for a new House Ru

I don't want to be targeted/bullied for such thought you/others think I'm pulling Just stop with the social justice trigger words. No one is "targeting" you and you certainly aren't getting "bullied". I replied to you. My opinion is different than yours and we are debating that ...

Re: pics or it didn't happen - suggestion for a new House Ru

I'll disagree for requiring this: Any project which does not (mod/mutator/code in general), should instead have either a video or a full well formatted description of what it's supposed to do. I don't want a full page flooded with stuff that made it required to do so. Anything simple that can be ea...

Re: Celd monsterpack

Posting directly as attachments is inefficient. Especially in cases if I'm sharing a specific pic more than 1 place, I'd have to upload it individually each place. That logic falls apart very fast when tested. For example it's way easier for me to get to work if I start ignoring stop signs. You can...
