Re: Help! my ut99 is very sick :(

In the worst case scenario you could move your UnrealTournament.ini and User.ini files out of the System folder, let UT recreate default copies, and then go through the pain-staking process of restoring your customisations using a "diff" application like WinMerge. But I hope it won't come to that. T...

Re: Getting set up to write scripts

The bare bones approach (as opposed to installing a dedicated tool like WOTgreal) is Notepad and the command line. I use Notepad++ with a syntax highlighter for UnrealScript (I remember seeing two or three of these online, but not sure which I downloaded). If you have Unreal Tournament installed in ...

Re: ut99 and slowdowns during playing

I have the same problem with my AMD APU which has very aggressive frequency throttling. I use this game launcher to get around the problem, it seems to basically peg whichever core the game is running on at 100%, which gives smooth gameplay, but a hot chip. Oh, I believe it also creates its own Unre...

Re: ut99 and slowdowns during playing

There are a couple of links you can explore that might offer a solution. If any of these suggestions do the job, keep an eye on the UT 469 thread, because the new release of the game will have a lot of this stuff baked in and will probably allow you to play without issues out-of-the box. But in the ...

This is the current list of changes. Keep in mind that the list is in no way final or complete:
This is enormously valuable. Very appreciative for your work on this project.

EDIT: Wow! I just finished reading through the document, this is a truly Herculean effort, astonishing and exciting.

Re: ComboGib >GRAPPLE< Server <//UrS//> - We are back!

This is great news, it's nice to see you guys again, thanks for setting up the server. Will the UrS forum become publicly available in due course? There's a technical issue with ACE that's preventing a server join for someone. I'm not certain whether it's a problem with the ACE installer, or with th...

Re: [Release] ACE v1.1d

Yes, it certainly has (or had) the ability to detect a proxied UT connection. I guess that when ACE starts up on the client, it establishes an independent connection to the destination server, and therefore will ignore any intermediary that the client might be using: UT client ----> proxy IP ----> U...

Re: siege x3 monsters

Thank you, that explains what was going on. I wondered why the same map seemed to have been voted each of the times I attempted to connect.

Re: siege x3 monsters

This sounds intriguing, but I'm unable to join, just a "Connection Failed" message straight away, no console text or anything else to indicate a problem.

Re: auto-Tournament gametype

For another, I'm thinking that it would be really nice if I could have the tournament end by running a map where the winners stand on podiums, like with the hall of champions at the end of the single player campaign. Maybe JackGriffin's Postal Babes mod would be a good starting point for investigat...

Re: Did any one of you see this?

Incidentally, will this also be an opportunity to update the Master Server values that are written by default to the UnrealTournament.ini file, and to replace the defunct GameSpy and MPlayer entries with the Master Server addresses for 333Networks and others? Or is it a "native-only update" agreement?
