Re: UnrealArchive.org

I uploaded a handful of packages there at 24 Jun 2020, but they have not appeared yet in "Latest Additions"? :omfg:

Re: Why Mutator Tag reset to None?

I cannot answer your question, but setting the tag in the beginning of an auto state could set it permanently.

Re: Mutator "Gift From Decoration" for MonsterHunt

Whow, I had the same idea, but have not realized it yet. A suggestion: add a probability value to each item so that for example a SuperShockRifle is not given as often as a health vital.

Re: CoopTranslocator

The decompiled code of UTPT is often different to that what is stored as text code. That's the proof for me that UTPT translates the byte code to UScript.

Re: CoopTranslocator

Hmm. Generally you can view it inside .u package via any viewer. Or use UnrealEd for this.^ Yes, I also know UTPT, but it is much easier to access the source directly than extracting it through any program. And it takes more time to extract or view the code with a normal editor and hereby is the da...

Re: CoopTranslocator

It would have been nice if you had given the source code also to the package.

Re: Player names / edit / restore

I think the function "Logout()" in GameInfo is the best place to implement that. If you use NexGen, there should also be a similar function.

Re: Unreal Tournament 469

Given the length of those scripts there isn't much point in opening more than one in the Script Window as one needs to scroll down a looong way to find the other. Scripts of different classes are not shown below in one window - if you double click on another class, only the code of that class is sh...

Re: Mover and their surfaces

Thanks for that.
What is the Sandwich/Align-to-floor-trick? And the original question was: Why is the surface orientation different in Editor and running the map?

And how do you create such movers?

Mover and their surfaces

I'm really fed up with this: in the past I used the 2D-Editor to build a door consisting of two parts for this texture: doorC2.jpg It was a bit of work but finally the brushes perfectly matched the shape of the texture. Then I applied the texture to the brush and - waaah - the texture scattered up i...

Database? Can you tell more of that? Maybe you can solve your problem by using a hash that contains only valid characters for your database.

Re: Sorted list as long as needed

Thanks for all of your responses, and I see that my explanation above what I need the list for was insufficient obviously. When I want to put a MH map on my server, in some maps monster's health is oversized and not balanced to the given weapons. With a MapPatcher I "correct" such unloved circumstan...
