Re: S3TC textures blurred around arches doors

You'll also notice that the wood texture on the top is also lower res. A lot of the textures are missing higher end versions of themselves. It could be a rendering issue as Dr said but my bet is that the Package you got on CD 2 isn't actually complete.

Re: The AWESOME Mapping Contest

I might give it a shot! These are really fun and they really improve my mapping skills. Plus I haven't delved into UT mapping in a while. Need to get my gears goin.

Sounds like it might be a buggy nightmare. I wish you luck on this map.
I think I might have an idea what your map might be.

Re: (WIP) CTF-Fluxingw00ts

Reminds me of the problem I ran into when I made a big ass map. I just re-coded the sniper to a larger uu value. Wonder if there is a better solution to make it compatible with any weapon? Obviously hit-scan and projectile weapons work in completely different ways. I'm thinking this will probably be...

Re: Do you guys still use Direct Input when playing UT?

I don't know if that really matters too much. Each person has a different pc and will have different results due to that. Some people have mouse issues with the game all together. Wonder if there is something XC_Engine can do to make mouse support better or something? I do use it. But my mouse is a ...

Re: new videocard release

This is not worth buying at all. RayTracing is new and amazing but there are no benchmarks yet. You are more likely to get a better deal after the next few versions of this card. Something brand new is going to have issues and the versions after this one will have it all figured out. It's worth only...

Thank goodness! Now I can use my updated render.

Real question is....did you also add new audio engines?

Re: An attempt to improve UT99.forum's atmosphere.

I think it's good you guys want to talk about it. But I'm not sure it's a great idea to bring that much attention to it. You make it out like it's the end of the world or something. I've seen some toxic forums and this? This is nothing at all.....I can link to a halo 1 PC forum site that is overrun ...

Re: Shameless server plug

Ehh...Thanks for plugging a server. Now I know the rules and probably won't join it. Not a fan of weird rules. Back-shooting thing just sounds stupid. The camping thing is indeed dumb. Just kill the camper. large numbers are just no.

But other than that it's ok I guess.

Re: Problem with launching the game

Is this a fresh install? Or is this a carry over install from your old system? If it is the later, install the game fresh.

Re: New computer! Unreal Editor 2.0 Won't Load Maps!

Just a word of advice: Never just copy paste a game from one pc over to the next.
It will always cause issues. Best case is to just install it fresh.

A game can be set up for the computer it was installed for. Sometimes this can break the game when you swap hardware also.

Just my 2 cents.

Re: pics or it didn't happen - suggestion for a new House Ru

So, visual stuff pics and small descript. Script stuff a bullet list of what it does. Cool. What I already do. I really don't think we should force something like this one others just because of frustration. Seems kinda bad on the outside. People will ignore bad posts period. I've been away from thi...

You could just make it a custom pawn. I think I know someone who's been messing with custom pawns for a while.
I'll show him your question.

Re: Arquitectual Element - Bridge (for use/inspiration)

I'd say it's fine. As long as it's used in a closed off and properly zoned area.

This is screaming AS use. Really good work.
