Re: MH-KillThemAll[EG] - Too reflective

Decals and dynamic lights are generally the culprits for that kind of crash. Essentially it goes down when there are a lot of decals being rendered, or if there are too many dynamic bright lights being rendered as well (from weapons or other sources). If you have reflective surfaces on top of that, ...

Re: Removing graphics for pickup places in Deathmatch

Well, since you cannot remove them, you can turn that around and add to them instead, things like vases or other kind of decoration which may make sense, or something else entirely, use your imagination. They could also be covered with a custom mesh with the underlying BSP texture, althoug...

Re: Removing graphics for pickup places in Deathmatch

Well, you might be lucky, this is a map from Swanky himself, and he's generally active on this forum, so you can drop him a PM to try to request nicely to him if he can adapt the map for you or to give permission so you or someone else does it. If he accepts it, you get the map as you want to for in...

Re: Problem with launching the game

Try to use an updated renderer, if you're not using one yet, such as one of these:

Re: pics or it didn't happen - suggestion for a new House Ru

Well, it seems to me that all parties involved are still a little bit too exalted after all to even begin to discuss new rules, so I agree with Carbon there and perhaps this discussion should be postponed for a couple of months at least, until everyone is chilled enough to do so. After all, some peo...

Re: New computer! Unreal Editor 2.0 Won't Load Maps!

Whenever I try to move the camera in any of the viewports, it freaks out and moves ALOT uncontrollably/unpredictably. If I try to move an actor, it immediately leaves my view in a similar manner of movement and it's gone forever. Anyone got a fix for this? Maybe has to do with the hi-res display???...

Re: New computer! Unreal Editor 2.0 Won't Load Maps!

Set the editor compatibility mode to Windows 7. You didn't mention anything about actually trying it out, but that's how I have mine set, and it works. Also, having 2 machines with the exact same OS and the same updates is no guarantee whatsoever that they will behave identically. I understand why y...

Re: New computer! Unreal Editor 2.0 Won't Load Maps!

Just like memsys said above: the problem is that the path is just too long, so the editor is truncating it when trying to load it up, as reflected in your log. As for spaces, they don't seem to cause any issues whatsoever actually, I am personally yet to see any problem caused by spaces in the middl...

Re: pics or it didn't happen - suggestion for a new House Ru

Regardless however, a forum is meant for discussions only, and the only reason why so much content is released here in the first place through topics and whatnot is that there's currently no better format or place to do so ... That's only partly true - have a look at the Board Index and the short d...

Re: pics or it didn't happen - suggestion for a new House Ru

I'll disagree for requiring this: Any project which does not (mod/mutator/code in general), should instead have either a video or a full well formatted description of what it's supposed to do. I don't want a full page flooded with stuff that made it required to do so. Anything simple that can be ea...

Re: pics or it didn't happen - suggestion for a new House Ru

^ Yeah, indeed, different kinds of projects offer different kinds of media to be shown. Regardless of the type of project, a video is a sure way to cover all presentation requirements, but it generally takes too long to do compared with other forms of media. So, yeah, any project that has a visual c...

Re: RE: Compile Error

I did not open any class or anything, but from the error alone it sounds to me that it's failing to import a custom font. As far as I remember, whenever you try to import a font into UT, this font has to actually be correctly installed in the operating system itself, it's not enough to have the font...

Re: RE: Compile Error

It's ironic how you seem to be excluding yourself from the overall problem, Nelsona. Also, it seems that there has been a tendency to go off-topic, although for that one I am also at fault myself. Therefore, I would suggest this topic to be split up so we can keep talking about these drama issues an...
