Test a level without bots?

Is it possible to use the "test level" button and start up a level without bots? I usually need to kick them every time I start up a level since I wanna test without them shooting at me

That was extremely fast wow. Normally when someone says they'll make a tutorial that's usually a "expect it in 6-7 months" sort of deal

Re: Tips on making more organic maps?

I'm mostly just looking for the most efficient way to do this sort of work. Not sure how committed you are but eventually you will want to use an external modelling program to really make the terrain you want. Anything generated inside the editor is going to be various levels of "Well, that will do...

Why do you mod?

I'm kind of curious what the motivation for people here to make mods for the original Unreal engine is. A lot of people I know have moved onto making indie games and I don't know many that stick with older engines. There's a person I follow on youtube who is attempting to make a sidescroller in Unre...

Re: Tips on making more organic maps?

https://ut99.org/download/file.php?id=8406&mode=view This is actually more what I'm interested in making. I've been experimenting with using terrain however it's been somewhat slow going since a lot of the time I get BSP errors and my player character just falls through it. I'll also say it's a bit...

Re: Discord versus TS3

I don't use TS (no headset) ...Discord is a great platform for Chat and Voice and you can implement other chat-protocols. But it's an annoying sun of a beach for everyone stuck with WinXP. But I still use it. But not as frequent as before because of the graphic problems in my Firefox-ESR. May...

Go play some SP maps , some great cave work, and still have structures though. like the base, or the dock My attempt at using terrain ht...

Tips on making more organic maps?

Hi there. I'm learning to use UnrealEd right now. However I noticed it's somewhat challenging for me to make less blocky maps and make more organic maps. I'm wondering if any of you guys have any tips for making maps that more resemble an outdoor location and less like it was made out of lego.

Re: UnrealEd bug

You've no doubt already tried this; does it make any difference if you run in Compatibility Mode? Or as an Administrator? I've tried Windows 95, 98 and XP but it hasn't made a difference. I believe I read somewhere that it's related to the directory the game is in (IE how long the name is) but even...

Change UnrealEd 2's interface?

Strangely I really like UnrealEd 1's interface a lot compared to UnrealEd 2. http://www.hypercoop.tk/infobase/archive/unrealbeta/uned800.jpg I'm wondering if it's possible to change UnrealEd 2's interface so it resembles UnrealEd 1 more. Mostly in terms of things like how the textures are docked on ...

UnrealEd bug

Whenever I start UnrealEd 2 in UT99 it causes this very peculiar problem where the master browser appears completely blank https://i.imgur.com/qk74uTK.png This only occurs in UT99 and occurs on both the disk version and the Steam version. I've also tested compatibility settings but that hasn't helpe...
