Re: UT2K4 Community / Forums

You are ... "some" years too late. You can not bring the clock to a standstill, the modding community moves merciless ahead, much quicker as it seems as some years ago. beyondunreal.com. I would directly ask Wormbo there, I think he is the only survivor there, literally as it seems! However keep in ...

Re: CTF-FacePalm (Release)

Once again, thanks for the comments. On a side-note, I am not surprised people are mistaking the sky-box for terrain. It is beyond expectation, and will likely be overlooked for what you have done, by the average players. Anyone interested with mapping will do well to learn from this map. It is all ...

Re: Textures for (non)commercial usage

abrMate? I don`t need own brushes and if I want to convert a brush to a 'fixed' texture, I just open the abr file with Xnview. Profit! edit: http://www.3dmd.net/license.htm This license confers the right to use textures owned by 3dmd.net in free and commercial productions. The user may make unlimite...

Re: CTF-FacePalm (Release)

Funny enough I misunderstood your review first a little bit (seriously, I took these mentioned twists as a bad thing first^^), I forgot to edit that later for some unknown reason. Domination: Hmm, ask FragnBrag if he wants to do so, he is the only one who is allowed to release a modified version of ...

Re: CTF-FacePalm (Release)

While I built this map I did trust to luck in terms of gameplay only anyway. I thought this and that could be fun and stuff like that. Although I never succeeded with 'perfect gameplay maps', it looks like I never completly failed on the other side, which is good as well. The 'gap': I think you mean...

Re: CTF-FacePalm (Release)

Hey, I've been watching your progress thread and was excited to see this finally released; since I'm secretly a big fan of yours. However, is there a direct link to download this map? Your link sends me to multiupload and keeps trying to get me to install all these extra download managers, which I ...

Re: CTF-FacePalm (Release)

*caught* Thanks for the many comments. It looks like everybody said what (s)he wanted to say. Most likely I should have waited with my "departure " thread a little bit longer, hm? Looks like you just gave me an exploration quest for the night! I just hope you realized by yourself in the meantime the...

Re: Textures for (non)commercial usage

http://www.texturemate.com/content/about Do you require any credit given if I use a texture in my commercial product? No, not at all! Although appreciated, it is not required. Enjoying the site and spreading the word among your colleagues about where to get free textures is enough! I always love to ...

Re: High poly performance tests

Today engines also doesnt use BSP? No. BSP is a relict from the past. :confused2: I don`t want to wreck your view of the world, but I guess there are some things you have to know: Even UT2003 or the older idtechs (Doom 3 I think, not sure about the later ones) only used it for VERY basic geometry, ...

Re: DM-Ironfact UT99 by Mr.POT

never put Super Shock Rifles in maps as they completely break gameplay! They're only good in a mutator. *whack!* We have the super shock rifle in our xpickups (CMP2) pack, like the one in Operation Na Pali it needed super shock cores (= own ammo), however nobody used it at the end (not even me).
