Re: BETA: Dm-1on1-Alpha

Well this was quite a fail. I didn't get anyone from here to test it. :( what a same... It looks like i need to go step by step in these forums to get something done. Nevertheless, I've got some testing done and made the decisions I was uncertain about, regarding the map. If anyone else wants to te...

Re: Collab Mapping #01 Phase 2/3

Suddenly i wish i had time for some mapping now... It's been proven to me that I'm worse than an average mapper so I can't wait to see something awesome from a somewhat better than average mapper. @Madis: Haven't you always wanted to help on this by mapping? I do, but I have my hands incredibly ful...

Re: Collab Mapping #01 Phase 2/3

well, then, seeing that the "elevator room" project is abandoned, i shall do some stuff if nobady makes objections. Nice ideas came into my mind now. :) To introduce myself: i am a lame ut player, but i always liked mapping ever since i got to know this game, and i consider myself a somwhat better ...

Re: CTF-BloodGulch (WIP)

Decide from which direction the sunlight comes. It usually comes from 1 direction. Oh yearh... you mention an important point here. But we already have discovered binary systems exist. So to say a light source only comes from 1 direction is misinformed and not always correct. The movie pitch black ...

Re: CTF-BloodGulch (WIP)

And in case you find a "UT99 Onslaught with Halo vehicles", don't use them, they're a trap!! lol Really, anything you see from "UT99 Onslaught" isn't anyhow good for you or even your UT install health. Really? I remember trying that mod, albeit with another UT installation. How is it bad for your i...

Re: Why UT COULD get a "small" engine upgrade Comment Thread

Except that only trendy mentally challenged people think gaming on an iPhone is a good idea. It's a horrible platform, and that Game Center or whatever is so blatantly obviously designed to rip off the people who're dumb enough to fall for it. The worst part is that they still officially claim that ...

Re: CTF-BloodGulch (WIP)

Looks like a decent Strangelove (bombing run) map. Do you think you could release a Bombing Run version of this map as well? • Having a snowy mountains and a desert level doesn't make ANY sense. You know, you could have snowy mountains even in a tropical environment. It all depends on the altitude. ...

Re: Why UT COULD get a "small" engine upgrade Comment Thread

Epic doesn't have the "bandwidth" to provide even "minimal oversight" for any projects that involve updating the UT source code. That's the only decent reply I've gotten after 6 months of trying to get in touch with them. End of story. Sure they do, it's just that it would distract them from milkin...

Re: Why UT COULD get a "small" engine upgrade Comment Thread

With the release of 227g the ut community could "force" epic for giving permission for a ut patch port as well. And now put two and two together Creav, could you expand on that a little? I'm interested in what you were implying might happen. Thanks for the interest, but I am sorry, not for *let me ...

I think I've checked it months ago and It was early on the beggining....

Re: Why UT COULD get a "small" engine upgrade Comment Thread

hmm ... ain't it too much work to do considering the few players that are left in the game? Ha. There's plenty of people who still play UT, and I have strong reasons to believe that there's also a large number of people who'd happily return to UT should there be any mods that catch their attention....
