Re: CTF-Blice (WIP)

Still didn't manage the time to work on this, but might to soon.

Re: problem with weapon graphics

For the sake of correctness, this is not a v451 bug, the real bug lies in v436 in respect on how it handles masked textures imported through "exec" directives. You see, many mods (including a few of my own past ones, when I didn't know any better) import textures in compilation time with the wrong f...

Re: Spawning a message window without a custom ServerPackage

3 months later... But in the case of JavaScript in a browser, I *could* achieve my aim if a website already uses existing libraries or packages. For example, let's say some website uses the "FancyBox" library to display lightbox-style messages in the browser. I could then make use of the (a...

Re: Looking for someone to help make a "lite" version of New

The minute you allow clients to have say on their location over what the server thinks it should be you'll have a bunch of people cheating the record times. Not necessarily. Client may have a say on their location and other things, and still have it remain a secure system by having the server check...

Re: NW3 Issue

It seems like an engine crash while trying to spawn a decal, there's really nothing I can do to fix it. Decals in this engine are a bit unstable, and NW3 uses a lot of decals, especially for the gore addon, as well as all the debris effects it has. How often does that crash happen to you? Or was it ...

Re: CTF-Blice (WIP)

Well, as for updates, I don't really have any worthwhile I'm afraid. :noidea I paused the development of this map temporarily a few days after back then, because I was honestly getting tired of it and running out of ideas on how to work in the other areas, so I decided to do something else (UT-unrel...

Re: Epic games releases...spyware?

This is steering into a political debate, which I am not really getting much into because I have a very strong opinion concerning how many US citizens see their "rights" and their "freedom", when most US problems have been solved in almost every other developed country already by effective governmen...

Re: Epic games releases...spyware?

So I'm honestly curious about something... What would the evidence need to be that would cause you to have concern? (to anyone) If someone demonstrates that Epic is actually sending sensitive information away that should never leave your computer under any circumstance, ever, such as saved password...

You will probably notice some minor issues with 2D line rendering in the 2D viewports.

Re: Projectile speed replication

It's been a looooong while since I looked at anything concerning projectiles, but I am pretty sure that by the time you call PostBeginPlay , you still don't have any initial values replicated/processed from the server, and that's why you have PostNetBeginPlay , which is only called after the first b...

Re: does/can Ued support 4k resolution?

Yeah, OpenGL works, but you need to set it manually in the ini file(s) in order to use it. Personally the best setup for me is the 3D view rendered in OpenGL, while the 2D viewports are rendered using Software, to get the best of both worlds, since in 3D you want to check how exactly the map looks l...

Re: Epic games releases...spyware?

Ask yourself: If I ran a server that accessed and copied your saved ini passwords and you caught me doing it, would it matter what my excuse was? Would it matter at all if I said "Oh yeah, that's my fault. I put that in there and just forgot to take it out. My bad, I'll fix it now (that you know ab...

Call me crazy, but I actually trust them to a large extent. Every single medium to large company, without exception, always does some scummy stuff here and there behind your back, simply due to being run by more than one single person with different sets of values and power within the company, much ...

Re: Regarding JackGriffin

@Feralidragon The IP is a TOR exit node, not a private IP That doesn't matter at all, the IP address is ALWAYS considered personal data by default, it doesn't matter if by the time you check it is a TOR exit node. Although like TheDane said, different regions have different rules, ut99.org in parti...
