Re: ini files on ut and unloading contents

If you dont want the maps to be loaded, you need to put them in a different directory. Mutators are loaded via their corresponding .int files; find the files for the mutators you want to unload, and either move them to a different directory aswell, or open the with a text editor of your choice and u...

You ported a mobile game into UT and didn't even release it in the end

Re: Do bots "key bind"? & Simulated Functions?

1) No, all non-PlayerPawn do not use Keybinds, as they are controlled by the game (server) and therefore perform specific actions directly through functions and code segments. You'll have to adress that "dynamic" use of the item for bots differently; detect the moment bots want to perform the healin...

Re: [Nexgen]Nexgen Advanced Ban Manager 1.02 [With ACE featu

Thanks for the detailed explanation Higor, I see that this is something way more fundamental to take care of. As I got exams coming up, it will probably take some time for me to look further into this. Though this most likely requires a complete rerelease of Nexgen fixing it completely (if I got thi...

Re: [Nexgen]Nexgen Advanced Ban Manager 1.02 [With ACE featu

But I don't know how to read crash messages and logs to find out what is the cause so this is something I can do, get started somewhere. Quite easy, look at the window with the error message and look what classes/packages/functions sound familiar  And as I said, there is not a single refer...

Re: [Nexgen]Nexgen Advanced Ban Manager 1.02 [With ACE featu

There seems to be a lot of stuff going wrong in this screenshot. The actual crash is not related to NexgenABM though, as the traces in the crash points towards MapVoteLA13. I don't think that's the real source of the trouble. My money is more on some general overloading on the server, or a different...

Re: ACE Timeouts caused by my ISP?

No, I've modified the ACEEventHandler to compare the Nexgen ID of players who timed out with a configurable whitelist. If they match, the timeout is simply ignored and the player (in this case me) can continue playing on the server. Fortunately, ACE offers such freedom to programmers/serveradmins.

Re: ACE Timeouts caused by my ISP?

I can't believe how blind I've been all the time. I just realized I can easily modify ACE's EventHandler to whitelist me for timeouts. Damn. I've been struggling around with VPNs and stuff for months while I completely forgot that ACE offers access to its behaviour in it's public Interface. Sure, th...

Re: Your largest map in your map folder?

1) DM-UTR-Kamah (73,0 MB)
2) AS-FoT-Chronoshift (64,1 MB)
3) CTF-UTR-Otherworld (51,3 MB)

Looks like the UT99.org Mappers won the race

Re: ACE Timeouts caused by my ISP?

Strange ...I'm at Netcologne and I have also timeouts and server disconnects. The provider said, everything is fine but they register periodic ups and downs caused by my cable connection from the wall receptacle to my modem ...I'm connected over their fibreglass multi-cable network (internet+TV+pho...

Re: ACE Timeouts caused by my ISP?

A friend of mine who lives in a different city is with Unitymedia aswell. He's having the exact same troubles: ACE is simply not compatible with Unitymedia's coax connection. If it wasn't only a hand full of people, I would remove ACE from my servers until there is an update fixing this. Unfortunate...

Re: Setting up own redirect server issue's

In my eyes it's nothing related to your UT Gameserver, but only to your webserver. Rule of thumb: if you are able to download the files through your webbrowser by manually constructing the URL "M.y.I.P/PathToRedirectFiles/RedirectFileName.Uextension.uz", redirect for UT clients will work like a char...

Re: Enhanced mapvote (hypothetical)

FBT ran it for some weeks (when they were still around). In the end, the main reason they dropped it, was the fact, that there's only one maplist which is also lacking size (compared to MapVoteLA) and that it's a NexgenPlugin. Nonetheless, I'm still quite happy with it, although there could have bee...

Re: Delete scripts?

I assume you want to remove the class in order to let it disappear from all Mutator-Selection lists? If so, I recommend to just delete the specific line from NW3's .int file. Otherwise, as the other stated, export the whole package using UCC, delete the .uc files you want, recompile under a differen...
