Re: ACE Timeouts caused by my ISP?

I got pointed to try out CyberGhost VPN services . It's the same as using my university's VPN, there are not timeouts at all. This is the communication between my client and ACE's DataLink: ACETimeoutsWireSharkVPN.jpg You see, the checking process is pretty much the same; except for the fact that th...

Re: ACE Timeouts caused by my ISP?

Was there any change with the VPN since your new connection? Do you think using another VPN/route would do any different? How about increasing the ACE check to 10 seconds if it make any difference? I don't remember how long does it take to check on default but if increasing ACE check timeout don't ...

Re: ACE Timeouts caused by my ISP?

That's not the reason Qwerty. As I said, I'm having no timeouts at all with that shitty VPN connection (with constant packetloss).

ACE Timeouts caused by my ISP?

Hey people, I didn't expect something like this happen to me personally. It's nothing server related, but only to my client side - or well, more my ISP connection side. After having no real issues with ACE for years, I'm having huge troubles playing on any ACE server for the last 4 days. The symptom...

Re: Missing Country Flags

Either use a different, more up to date one, or if you are running one for yourself, update the table with the latest IP information. Not sure if there is a script around to extract GeoIP files easily though.

Re: Missing Country Flags

That stuff is all processed server side and you can not change a thing on it from your side, except you are the server admin. If you are, you need to update your IpToCountry data-server so it can locate all IPs to their respective country.

Re: Say Binds help?

UTPure also offers dynamic say variables.
%H = Your current health. "80 Health"
%W = Your current weapon. "Sniper Rifle"
%A = Your current Armor. "Shieldbelt (150) and 0 Armor"
%P = Your current Position/Task. CTF Only.

Re: Debugging gametype switch crash

This won't fix your issue as it is build in UT like this, but I managed to handle such runaway loops caused by list sorting by enabling the "bTreeSort" variable. This is only related for modders though, but it might be a good thing to start with.

Re: THE 512kb MAPPING CONTEST

Hoping for some good CTF maps - although I doubt there will be many, since the nature of CTF require 2 bases (usually symmetric). And that means bigger file size :(

Re: UT99.org goes SSL!

Weird thing, and this may just be the interaction with my work's computers, I have to hit "No" to that. If I hit "Yes" the thread shows up fine but every single image in that thread goes Red X on me. Same thing happens in the UnrealEngine forums. Weird, huh? That's cause these images are 3rd party ...

Did the host add your new Skin packages to his UnrealTournament.ini ServerPackages section?

Just a kind note, looks like you forgot to adjust the default page to "http://ut99.org/portal.php" as it was before. Besides that, good work, and thank you for keeping this place running!

Re: Umenu tutorial?

Nexgen is a great suggestion - I'll try look into that, those classes are well commented with each function! I never used Nexgen myself much - Anyone knows the name of the first basic version released with the source code intact and commented? I'll try read up on it at UA, but if someone beats me t...

Re: Umenu tutorial?

Nexgen introduces a nice region layout system for UWindows inside the NexgenContentPanel panel class, you might wanna check it out as well :)
