Crosshair scaling at high resolutions is just plain screwed in UT. A solution will depend on the servers you play on. If the server uses ACE Anticheat, you can perform `mutate ace crosshairscale 1` in the UT console. On the bunnytrack.net servers, use `mutate ch_scale 1`. For single player games, o...

hmm.. makes sense but it's a fresh install, just doing it today. nothing blocked, all ports open in firewall. and im' not sure i used those in an older ini, it was specific for that provider i believe yes, just added as a preventative. still getting hang up, not as bad after i did that.
