Re: SSL not functioning at the moment, I'm on it.

I wonder why a certificate is needed for a forum at all? Any secrets here? :D For https (secure http) you need a certificate that essentially confirms who you say you are. As you mentioned, passwords will not be sent as plaintext, but also PMs and your email address will remain hidden from others. ...

Re: SSL not functioning at the moment, I'm on it.

@Shade:
Do I need to put up a big warning/notification on 333networks as well, or do you think it will be fixed before enough people read it?

Re: Please approve GuscriptedPawn

The script must have cross-Pawn hierarchy support (references to boss, childs and brothers) and must be still able to do general Pawn stuff. Even if Hierarchy is limited to GuscriptedPawn and it's subclasses. Okay, all mud-throwing and jokes aside, there are a few questions and points I'd like to m...

Re: About 50% of the servers do not show up

Uhhhh ...what happened there? That's around the same time that this thread got started ;) This graph shows the amount of online servers found by the Epic Games masterserver (the zeroes on the bottom of the graph indicate time-outs or moments that the Epic masterserver was inaccessible for unknown r...

Re: About 50% of the servers do not show up

thankyou.gif You're welcome, Sir. Some additional statistics: the 333networks masterserver queries the Epic Games masterserver on a regular basis (sync protocol, see wiki) and happened to register in the log how many servers it found every time. When processing the log, I managed to visualize this ...

Re: Please approve GuscriptedPawn

I am not really sure what there is to be approved here.. We can acknowledge the existence of this code, but I don't see the context of this class. Is this thread meant to be part of another discussion, perhaps? Codewise, I have a few small comments, More like nitpicking, actually. BossPawn.Childs = ...

Re: About 50% of the servers do not show up

Such usefull reply, thanks... Not sure if sarcasm or misunderstanding. Let me take a shot at it (only relevant code shown, comments in red): UnrealTournament.ini [Engine.GameEngine] ServerActors=IpServer.UdpServerUplink MasterServerAddress=master.noccer.de MasterServerTCPPort=28900 <-- wrong, use p...

Re: About 50% of the servers do not show up

I don't really understand that thing with "permissions" It's my way of expressing that I consider this information valuable and notifying the author that I intend to share this information. I consider it a politeness thing. (Using the same beacon type?) Yes, and very annoying. It is possible, but i...

Re: About 50% of the servers do not show up

333networks must be grabbing a copy of the servers list from one or both of the others.... Correct. 333networks grabs the serverlist from Epic and synchronizes those with oldunreal, errorist and noccer. 333networks also accepts manually added servers ( click ) and has its own mechanism to determine...

Re: About 50% of the servers do not show up

http://darkelarious.blicky.net/share/masterlist.jpg Screencap of http://master.333networks.com right now. http://master.errorist.tk shows an equal amount of servers. For those who still didn't catch up on the wiki, here is an explanation of how to set 333networks and/or Errorist as your primary mas...

Re: Linux UT Server

For the record, I keep updating the tutorial on http://wiki.333networks.com/index.php/Tutorial:UT_Installation_On_Linux and will not paste this link at every post in this thread. Changes can be found in the view history tab. Would it also include making backup/rotational logs that is useful for find...

Re: Linux UT Server

Would it also include making backup/rotational logs that is useful for finding errors and such? We can make it as crazy as possible. It would help to have a few people join the wiki and make placeholder pages for things we should write tutorials on. It would help even more if a few people here want...

Linux UT Server

A while ago I promised that I would write a tutorial about installing linux on an old computer to run a dedicated UT server. I posted a first draft on the 333networks wiki: http://wiki.333networks.com/index.php/Tutorial:UT_Installation_On_Linux This is perhaps also a good moment to invite people to ...
