Re: Screenshots

I had the idea of using ice textures to emulate wind on that forest wall texture I made. https://i.imgur.com/AUHQOG9.gif Although, someone pointed out that it looked more like extreme heat waves than wind pushing trees around, so I guess I'll to mess with it some more. I'd like to see more. I can pr...

Re: Screenshots

I was thinking about working on a Duck Game themed map, so i got started on a skybox.

I plan on adding the hovering skyscrapers next. I got the clouds and water moving, as well. I should probably post a video of that at some point.

Re: Moving skybox (discussion + sample)

Updated first post, the definite MovableSkyZone.u is the one used by my Siege map. If you're doing serious mapping with it, replace your old MovableSkyZone.u with the one that comes with my BETA map, it has fixed network support. Sorry for the 4 / 5 year bump, but I think it would be better to post...

Re: Does anyone know how to make a Blender model an actor?

The directive flags value for masked textures is FLAGS=2 during the import, iirc. However, it actually doesn't work very well. The texture gets somewhat marked as being masked, but is never rendered as such. This is actually something that the v451 patch fixes, and what some renderers try to fix in...

Re: Does anyone know how to make a Blender model an actor?

Well, I kinda got the model working. https://i.imgur.com/c3DoQ8i.jpg https://i.imgur.com/6PhO3FB.jpg The problem is that the leaves textures were opaque by default, and I'm not entirely sure how to set up parameters in the .uc file where the leaves would be masked. I just went into the properties of...

Re: Screenshots

I kinda got tree models working: https://i.imgur.com/c3DoQ8i.jpg https://i.imgur.com/6PhO3FB.jpg There's some issues with the actor like how it's initial size turned out to be too small, and the model itself didn't have any masked textures until I turned it on the model in UnrealEd, which made the t...

Re: Does anyone know how to make a Blender model an actor?

However there are a couple of other options. Skywolf has recently made a plugin for Blender which will export directly to .3d format, bypassing the need for 3ds2unr altogether This looks pretty useful, though the website made me register an account just so I could view the thread. Also, I got this ...

Does anyone know how to make a Blender model an actor?

I'm trying to convert a tree model I made in blender into a decoration entity that I can use in Blender. I was trying to use 3ds2unr to get started on that, but whenever I dragged the 3ds file onto the exe, it said that an out of sequence object (the tree model itself in this case) was skipped. I tr...

Re: Extra Team Colors v1

I posted the second version of the skinpack, but there was something involving it that I didn't thinking about asking sooner. Custom team skins on the Nali and Nali Warcow don't work unless you have UsAaR33's Nali/Cow fix. I was wondering if I should include that with the skinpack in case someone en...

Re: Extra Team Colors v1

If you look at the bottom of the " other download sites " list, you will see you can get it directly from the homepage. I have read somewhere in the past that BMP will keep the palette indexes the same, but saving as PCX will create a new index so colours may move. If you are doing nothing more tha...

Re: Extra Team Colors v1

I feel like it kinda gets complicated because of that as someone who isn't super familiar with command prompts. *cough* Irfan View *cough* http://www.irfanview.com/ Sorry, I was initially reluctant in downloading it from there since something about it seemed iffy. It was probably just because CNet ...

Re: I made a terrain model in Blender and brought it over to

@Skerion I would go for the flat version of the forest but with some variation in heights. If you're talking about terrain variation that the tree model goes along with, I was already planning on having some variation with terrain height. This was just a test model. If you're referring to variation...
