That is good info, and yet I shall not be doing any of that.
As far as I know Jack has been under medical care since his condition first showed up, and I would imagine (hope)
his doctors, (if they are competent and ethical), would be informing him regarding details about how much water to
drink etc. And probably have him on more pharmaceuticals than needed even if they ARE somewhat competent.....
(I have worked with many doctors in the past. Ran all the IT for a fairly large medical billing practice for 10 years. I know doctors.)
As you know there are many types of cancer. In Jacks case, he had no choice but to get medical treatment and
all the surgery etc.
I think he got his diagnosed about a year before me. Mine was a different sort.....
A birthmark that has been on my face, since birth.....
Decided after 52 years to become a malignant melanoma and metastasize and
spread into a few adjacent lymph nodes.
After the surgery to have it, and part of my face removed. The only option the doctors give me is to have more
lymph nodes yanked out and tested. If they are positive, Clinical Trials is all they have next.
Fuck that. The 3rd leading cause of death in this country is medical mistakes, and they want to test unknown drugs
on me so they can track down all the horrible side effects? They can find another test subject.
Mine is either gonna get better on its own, or spread directly to brain, lungs or liver, with very very low odds if that happens.
I am gonna keep eating and coding until I can't do either.
Hope Jack does the same. I hope his doctors help him more than hurt him.
I can be the control group who does not get further treatment.
*I don't take any pills, and haven't for 20+ years. No aspirin, not cold meds, no vitamins. Nothing.
Took 1 codeine pill the day of my surgery. Made me feel sick. Poison.
2 or 3 beers, and a cheeseburger, are much better for you all around.
You know you have all been brainwashed?
*Edit: @ Carbon. You win the award for the post with a quote that has the most big, tricky, technical terms in it.
Not a slam on you, just the way those guys write stuff like that, makes me laugh.
