Also keep in mind that every compression needs energy (and time). The less it is done, the better. So in long term additional storage for UZ files may become cheaper than compressing them on every request.

incorrect. I do not use xc engine client side nor do any of my player base. I don't even think they know about XC engine. It is only enabled server side. You'll find that alot of players don't even know how to update their UT , let alone install XC.
