XV not targeted use with nukes. But you can make some mutator which alter armor of vehicles and reduce damage from nukes.
As example of similar mutator can be taken XVehiclesMH

Given how easy it is to shoot down all flying or hovering vehicles, it should be okay to enable them to carry flags.

Just my 0.25¢ on the matter.

An instagib is so effective because it takes 1,000 health off with 1 shot, which is why the larger monsters can survive being shot by it once or twice as they've got a lot of health.

None of the tanks have 2,000 health, but they're all over 1,000.

So why did it take 39 shots with an instagib to blow up that one tank?

Watsonian:
Tanks and jeeps use solid materials like steels. They not consist from meat and flesh. So energy weapons produce small damage, since it spread by big area. In comparison when instagib hit flesh - it burn it with deep penetration.
Doylist:
This limited in code, exactly same as did in code for UT2004.

Simple logic:
Vehicles big and slow. If they blow with one hit, what point use it? When you on foot you small and much more mobile for avoid hit.
So for make balance - vehicles provide low damage from instagib. And now they can be used.

Also, instagib - instant gibs (giblets). But tank not have any gibs (giblets). :-P

Zombis vs tank... didn't go so well for the tank.

Some insight about upcoming XV56.

Network test with 200 vehicles on map.
Shot00451.png
Low network load and moderate channels usage. On XV55 this map not work over net - too many channels.

Now there can be approximately near 300 vehicles in idle.

XV56 currently on beta testing on our server. Will be released soon.

Well. There be submarine in early versions of u2vehicles, which is base for xvehicles. So there left some classes for it.

But as show reality, submarine useless in UT. Maybe I am wrong. But this for sure need very specific water map.

Players too slow in water for able really fight. So there be submarine-only fights.

it would be cool if there was a troop carrier type of vehicle, or any vehicle that could carry more than 2 players.

maybe an easy variant of the jeep that has a chain gun instead of plasma guns, or something like the hellbender cannon. or the mortar from the ut3 scorpion (flak alt projectile?).

could also be cool to turn the hover car model used in the ut intro into a drivable vehicle :D
