My IRL name is Wayne Young, AKA Slartybartfast. I got the nickname way back in 1986 after creating 3D renders that looked a bit like fjords, or "the fiddly bits around Norway", as my namesake would say.
I'm the original author of the DM-2001 UT map, and I am amazed and humbled that people are still getting enjoyment out of it. I thank you all. I haven't played that map myself for probably close to 20 years. I'm going to enjoy seeing what improvements have been made to it over the years.
I used to be a member of the {SBD} clan, which was more of a social club for misfits than anything serious, but we had some good players (much better than me) and had some laughs, which is much more important than winning trophies.
