Custom spambots could be written anyway. Like if you use HTMLUnit APIs for Java, you could easily check the text "Are you a spam bot?" and the input bar near it, and write "no" inside the input bar and then search_for/temporarly_create a custom submit button and press it automatically.
Yeah, very easily, but it would have to be targeted which is rare if you're not a massive platform. In my case all the spambots were written for the generic signup form for that type of forum (eg. phpbb/ipb) and none actually targeted me specifically - so it killed the problem immediately.

Either way looks like they have it under control, just providing something that has worked for me in the past.

It'd appear that UA just got it's own, significantly more limited, spambot:

I do report the post and mark spam there so whoever manage there (wormbo or so) will take care of it.

Slightly off topic, slightly not... I've noticed since the spamming incident the option to delete any of my posts, in any given thread, appears to be gone.

Is that because of the spammer?

You can't delete your posts if another member has posted right after you.
Or what do you mean?

But this is common here since ...ever?

You did this deletion at Hermskii if I well recall, all later posts looks like they are lost with a reply to none because previous trash-post has been suddenly deleted. Things aren't good this way. You might think twice before posting un-existent Skaarj classes, right ?

Next week I'll prepare a document with some posts from here at UT99.org - including my comments - I think I might gain some money if I'll write a book or something... Forum has RULE no. 1 but not my personal stuff - that's without rules for sure :lol2: .
I went back (after 4 years) at UT99.org because of some e-mail posted to visit bla, bla, community is growing... :ironic: I see "new blood" indeed  . The only satisfaction is XC_Engine and tiny few other things added as knowledge, the rest looks as SPAM.

As much as I poke around all over the place, even I cannot see/know everything.
