In my case I just started to work in the new FX package I mentioned, and which I am going to use in the new map.

For those interested, here's the repo:
https://github.com/Feralidragon/C21FX

It's not the same as screenshots, and it's very very early WIP (there's untested and incomplete code even at the moment), and very experimental, so none of the code is final and will likely undergo plenty of changes over time, but that's what I am working at the moment for this contest.

I will likely start the actual map around October, after I more or less have this new package with the needed stuff.

I'm legit flip flopping between 2 ideas, and can't figure out which one to go for... Right now slowly using Minecraft's Creative mode as my basic layout builder for both lol.

This contest has no rules... so why not do both?

Tater wrote: Mon Sep 06, 2021 5:43 pm Maybe you should have a mapping contest for maps that don't include the standard textures but are custom created. IMO going from 1 map to the other where the same standard textures are used makes for a boring day. They all look the same, only rearranged.
Hey Tater I actually like this idea! I might consider this for my map.

The standard UT textures do get a little boring after a while
