Judging from the second screenshot, the arrows seem to be the direction the player is meant to take to traverse those areas (the direction of the steps).
Oh, I see. Makes sense. Thanks Ferali.

Just me trying to design for multiplayer UT with my SP head on haha
Hopefully shouldn't be too hard to transfer my experience there to this particular gametype

What are the arrows for?
Maybe the map has rotating sections?

Well 1 tiny BT element for you

can be done with the impact hammer if you want to go there quickly OR side dodge on the ramp and... its kinda hidden

Woah, that's a very interesting concept for a map.
I see you're creating the big wheel as solid geometry, but probably if you turn it into a mover instead, to be rotating, and set the surrounding map as something like AS-Speed (but a slower speed), you may actually have a winning map right there.

This has occurred to me, I'm going to build the rest of the map then work on the aesthetics fingers crossed the BSP doesn't explode...
I'm over due for a winning map (or so I tell myself).

It seems this year we're going to have some really strong maps.

Don't you dare! The annual contests are about generating more content for the community and getting people involved. Map your heart out
Edit: Oh and fun, that too.

no no not giving up. I was just struggling trying to make a building, a sloped curved ramp and some terrain ..all three, none of them came out the way I wanted... and I closed the editor and came here and saw the super awesome looking map ideas so far and just was like, frustrated that I have not developed a decent idea yet. But more...that I am really impressed with the screenshots I have seen so far. Really good and creative stuff. You'd think it would be inspiring huh?
No worries mate, I was just having a moment. Shouldn't have posted that.
