MH maps recommendations?

Do you search a certain mutator, mod, skin, map, everything else?

Thanks, got it.
Now back to my Translocator problem. I've activated it in the ini...

Code: Select all

bUseTranslocator=True
but it won't show up in the game.

Nothing wrong, It's fair play. Shrimp disabled Translocator (and me too) because telefraging a monster is unfair - killing too fast is not like a gaming thing, else some maps are looking like shit if translocator is used - teleport over or through door - game ended > no play. Samples ? Yes: MH-Forbidden, MH-Canyon, and so on. to not mention rushing in others ruining the charm of the map. I'm sorry I'm one of those removing all "tools" which makes player having lot of advantages. else BT Zones are not BT Zones by using such a toy.

In other Note : IN DM which I play with monsters I have added PrimitiveMesh to monsters in order to not be easily telefraged by me and Bots.

Likely nothing. It's why if you use the Instagib mutator in MH it won't work but if you use InstaComboGib it does. Folks who originally made MH thought Instagib & Transloc made things too easy, so they encoded it to block those... although you can still edit either directly onto a map and they'll work fine.

Took a stab through Screenshots for Fun for posts I linked to maps, to show what was on them, and the Report new Downloads section of this forum for the following:

Start playing on : http://destionationunreal.com

over 5 different servers and over approx 2000 mh maps .

mainserver : unreal://176.57.143.206:7777

The map maps I created over time are there as well.
Check my maps in a sorted list here, as well with a download provided. (They are mostly for multiplayer and large teams, some are pathed some are not )

It's not for killing monsters but for travelling faster through humongous maps... well at least for me.

But this gave me an idea ...what about a mutator which let you sprint for a set time (button pressed), Say for max 2 or 3 seconds and then needs to recharge. During a sprint are your weapons useless because your aim is terrible off.
That way could you travel faster through a map but you wouldn't be able to kill anything in the meantime and you couldn't go over barricades. Bot should be able to use it as well.

I play online already ...I just want to play some rounds with my own sets of weapons ...without any overpowered stuff and double-jumps.

And another find sektor2111 ...Some weapon replacements don't swap the Pulse Rifle. Why is this so?

I don't mean NW3 ...this is cool and fun ...even so I disabled most of the nukes (everything above level 2) for my default gaming. Most of them are just too much and a game breaker.

i'll look for that one .... these lists are a few years old - i have only come back to map recently so i probably missing some maps now...
I thought paper wanted list of maps he could play solo/offline - these lists are maps that I played solo (with bots) and made some kind of
first impression on me, some may look great but play bad, and vice versa... just my opinion - but a keeper is a keeper. Example, Easter
I have played maybe 30 times!!! The brains that made the Andromeda maps and that nightmare house went off-the-charts creatively and
blew my developer mind... The keepers are maps i will play more than once and well, KEEP! there are very many more maps in the crap
folders, mainly because I don't like them (i don't delete them away, they just get parked forever). Don't forget I was very late in coming to MH,
and UT was already done-for (except for a few communities, like this one). Nowadays I've just become more interested in SP and MH than say,
DM or CTF. A good MH map can give me hours of entertainment :)
I'll certainly get any maps I don't have from this rhead...

I think this is the one

I usually play MH as a single player and find these doable and good fun - the design/textures are good and they have a challenging and diverse range of monsters - don't know how they are for bots though
- MH-EpicAdventure2016
- MH-(dU)AS-ImperialBaseFinal
- MH-(dU)Evacuationbeta3 (there's also a beta and beta2)

Yeah, forgot about that.

Usually when I send sektor a map to fix for me, I include all the necessary files but knowing I have all that he only sends the fixed map back.

My bad.

Just played
MH_hellfirev2
MH-Templar
MH-liandriconflictv2
They were awesome.
The two last maps ...don't play it with full NW3ultragore if you don't have a great machine ...so much gibs and gore your screen will certainly drop to 10 fps. Well, at least it dropped for me that low :|

This BetaKrall map from EvilGrins was unplayable with a bazillion of Kralls approaching at you + NW3 ... :ironic2: and without any better weapons you play for hours. Ok I have to admit no long walks... but ...but...

1) I don't play that with NW3, just the weapons on that map.
2) There's a redeemer on there, which is handy against masses of Krall.
3) Bots man... you gotta go in there with at least 3 bots backing you (I typically have 5 or 7 as backup)
4) That map is an easy beat in 10 to 15 minutes.

I would've sent you the 1 with butterflies+cows or the other 1 with just Eants on them...

...but they're edits of the version made by He-Who-Will-Not-Be-Named.

That's how I felt most of the time after another round of MH maps testing.
So many maps don't have even simple pathing. @Mapper I don't expect something special but at least give bots the chance to follow me!!
