Looking for 'U1-to-UT Converter' for maps
Does anyone have a link to the old Unreal 1 to Unreal Tournament map converter that used to be hosted on planet unreal like a hundred years ago? I haven't been able to find it in archives or the website so I was hoping an older gentleman of the community would still have it or atleast an equivelant
I really don't want to replace every individual weapon for oldschool maps

Usually mutator replace all weapons on the fly. What a problem just use old maps directly with proper mod, without modify it?

Yeah they do function fine and I know about loathesome's tweak too but I figure if I was going to update older maps for UT with preview pictures and music I might as well replace the weapons properly too.

Just add the ported resources and combine your Unreal and UT folders in the ini files.
You can then open UT maps in Unreal UEd or Unreal maps in UT UEd.

Never felt the need for one. Most custom U1 maps work in UT, or at the very least many mappers have already made most of the classic U1 maps for UT.

I've never used this BUT, if you want to use it, put the .exe and the .txt in your Unreal/Maps folder, convert your map to .t3d and follow the other steps in the text file (Command prompt - cd to Unreal/maps etc, etc).
You can change the weapon conversions if you want by editing the text file - I presume you can use weapons from other mods, etc as long as you specify the full package/class name.
