Well, you don't play in actual ACE protected servers then. ACE is an anti-cheat, so unless you play in servers like Siege, Instagib, Sniper, etc, you won't find ACE there.EvilGrins wrote:Uh... UT's standard normal setup enables immediate online play so long as you have access to the internet. I've never had to install additional software in order to enable online play.
The most popular servers around are pretty much using ACE, without it the probability that you're playing against cheaters in a ctf or dm game is very high.
Plus, ACE is native, and native mods/addons don't "automagicaly" download to the machine like the other packages, they need to be installed in another way, in the case of ACE it uses that.
