The Imperial One map pack

Do you search a certain mutator, mod, skin, map, everything else?

A "solid" RAR file with a 3% recovery record will still usually be smaller than a ZIP  (before anyone mentions 7zip, it does not use recovery records).
In the event of disc corruption or crappy download, as long as no more than the % added (up to 10%) is dammaged, you can re-create the missing data. :tu:
The larger the file it is, the more sense this makes as having to re-download a large mod or map-pack, for a second or third time is such a pain on a restricted bandwidth or shared or poor connection etc. :mad2:

In fact, even my Amiga can use RAR files, so in this day and age I see no reason to use ZIP at all :noidea
Forward and upwards..etc.

*EDIT*
Forgot to say thanks for the links :loool:
BTW. that zippyfile site is also recognised by MiPony, so I could grab the file without even seeing what it looks like (I assume it is covered with blinking, flashing adverts).
forget zip ... use 7zip ...

Since Gamefront is deleting stuff now, I thought that maybe it would be ok if I combine all 3 mappacks and re-host them somewhere. Only I'm not sure where? Any suggestions?
Oh, before I forget, I tried to compress all 3 packs into a .rar and a .7z to see which uses less... The result:
.rar: 14,2 MB
.7z: 12,1 MB
7z wins!
