CTF Skyscraper map question

Post by MrLoathsome »

Is there such a map?

And not a map with a skyscraper in the middle of it...., Or 2 skyscrapers like CTF-High

Does anybody know of a CTF map that takes place in 1 building, with 1 teams flag on the roof and
the other teams flag in basement?

Or any CTF map where the 2 teams flags are at roughly the same X,Y coordinates, but different Z.

If there isn't such a map, I have another question.

Why not?
:lol2:

because the team on the rooftop would have the advantage ...you can jump down faster than you can walk up ...even with jump pads. The other team can jump down ...but the team in the basement has to go to the stairs or to a jump pad... it will be always slower.

Thanks for the fast reply.

That makes perfect sense, and simplifies the problem I am currently looking at slightly.

Edit - Just thought of a nice map idea that would violate that rule.

It would have 2 levels, 2 story building or ship or whatever.
Flag at dead center of each level. Levels connected by a combination
of interconnected ramps, tunnels, lifts, teleports etc. in such a way that
neither team would get any advantage jumping down anything.
Perhaps just teleports at the end of tunnels, or curvy narrow tunnels
that would slow players down if they tried to jump.

A CTF Hub map, or something.

I can close my eyes and see the whole thing in my head. Laid out on a cool black and green grid, with turnips and radishes
and other vegetables representing all the various actors, and the lines connecting the pathnodes, just like a screenshot
taken in that horrible editor I can't figure out how to use.
:barf:

Good thing I can't (or won't) figure it out, as this way I can disregard the possibility of such a map ever existing.  :satan:
