Searching for good maps

Post by Torax » Mon Mar 10, 2014 2:12 pm

Can someone suggest good maps with defined thematics, such as big cities, battlefields with bunkers, cities destroyed by war etc..mostly for TDM but also will be good to take such maps for CTF.
Or where to search such stuff (will be great with previews available)?

Rely on your taste guys :highfive:

CTF-XMC-NorthernLights ...

If you want to search by theme should you try Mapraider. Preview pictures and user rating.

Try DM-XC-EpicTownV2A by FnB

Some map...
  • DM-S3TC-D3D9-KingJoshCity
  • DM-(AMLP)BorDeauX
  • DM-(SUF)MortalCollapsing
Or take a look for maps from Pietro's map collection... (Sniper Maps) - I think there you can find some city map. Or take a look for maps from medor's site... (Keyword: City) - 288 Found... Let's go Torax! :D

1) I'd remove DM-S3TC-D3D9-KingJoshCity from any listing for the paremeters you set. While it is an amazing map, even the author said it's not ideal for online play. Personal experience says that even with offline play the thing is a major memory drain.

On the positive, it's very pretty.

2) If bot-pathing isn't an issue, I can probably drum up a fairly large list for you later (at work right now). One of the things I was big into looking for when I go map hunting is city maps, realistic battlegrounds and such. From modern day type cities to futuristic as well as ancient.
