Fire!

Do you search a certain mutator, mod, skin, map, everything else?

Fire!

Anybody know if there's an existing "tracker module" for Prodigy's song Firestarter?

I think I've heard of this. Hang on let me look for it by searching on name, if no response by then, I'll have to listen to my whole UT music file!

Edit: Found it! I have 2. I'll provide download link.

Both sound a bit different from the start.

I have an instrumental version that I've ripped from a Playstation game called "WipeOut 2097" (good game, but short on tracks and vehicles). Didn't umx it yet though.

Good song btw.

Thanks Chamerly, firestarter_.umx is downright close to perfect... minus that near the end a voice announces a weapon pickup.

Still, that should do fine.

I already had Prodigy's Smack My Bitch Up which is the kinda thing I love to hear when playing MH.

Yeah I didn't listen to the whole thing or I forgot all about the end part. I think it came from maps that have the word Prodigy in it but idk.

I've heard smack my bitch up quite a bit. Got no search found though... it's somewhere I guess. (No smack or bitch related in the name search.)

You mean this?
Best game on the old PS1... and still for me the best Wip3out of the whole franchise.

1) I have checked both files posted.
The shorter of the 2 UMX files is legal, so you can use that and shout about it from the rooftops, as it is a recreated tracker module (also very well done).
Very nice find Chamberly, and an excellent example of the difference in quality, as the smaller tracker file is much better :tu:
BTW. That Firestarter "FastTracker" file was actually made 2 years before the first Unreal game.

2) WTF Grins? (please re-word your post to say "Anybody know if there's an existing tracker module of Prodigy's song Firestarter?")
Can I just remind EVERYONE again of the house rules.

If people really intend on the authorities sending SHADE a nasty email, carry on.
It may be fine for you, as you won't be getting the cease and deist order, but If you want this site to continue, please have some respect for the site owner or other people that you put at risk.

Prodigy are one of the most remixed and mashed-up bands on the planet. You cannot turn your head on Youtube without finding a free remix/mashup.
I could probably provide you with an entire CD full of only Firestarter mixes.
The main Prodigy fan site is bursting to the seams with free mixes. Go there and grab everything you want.

As you will see from the collection, the Prodigy are very open to reworking of their music, as long as people show some respect.

 Here are a bunch of actual tracker mods http://theprodigy.info/download/modules/

Did only react to Gecko's post.

Copyright rules on such things, at least here in the USA, generally are designed to obstruct the illegal copying for profit of such things. I mean, think about it... we sell stereos with all sorts of things designed to copy music.

It's only illegal if you're making copies to make money for someone else's work.

That's incorrect. This sums it up:
There is little doubt that, other than private in-home listening and playing, Fair Use of music is extremely limited.
http://www.pdinfo.com/Copyright-Law/Mus ... ir-Use.php

Given today's climate of sue-happy music producers I would err strongly on the side of caution.
So long, and thanks for all the fish
