Looking for an old DM Sniper Map

Post by crushor4000 »

Okay Ladies and Gentlemen, but lets be real its mostly Gentlemen.

I am looking for an old map that was very popular among sniper servers before the Zark rifles and other mods took over.

This was one of the classics that was run along with DM-Zeitkind and DM-Zahltag.

I remember playing it on Fraggalonia server as well as a couple of other larger UT 99 snipers servers.

The map was an outdoors style map with a couple of buildings as well as a cave series built in to the mountain with a two tier elevator.

One of the interior buildings had a trigger that would open up a secret wall and teleport you into the mountain.... LOTS of campers hid out in this mountain as it had a fake fall face to look out on to the map and snipe as you please.

There were jump boots located on the map, and if you were sneaky enough you could grab the jump boots... make your way all the way around the map and jump on to the cliffs and continue sniping from there.

There was a river running through part of the map, as well as 1 bridge spanning the cliff.

There was a huge spawn camping problem in the mountain first tier corner.

Anyone remember the name of this map? Or where I can find it? For some reason I believe it stars with a K!

EDIT: I believe there was also a church involved somewhere in the map, I believe it was on the first tier of the map where the hidden trigger/door was

EDIT #2: It is the map at approx 7:22 in this video,

Someone has to remember the name and link!!

Actually don't kid yourself. The ratio is not as biased as you think. UT99 has a higher amount of female players than most FPS games. We have had female player models since Unreal, and it is a non-technical, pickup and play fantasy fighting game. This also suits many girlies, and I chat to quite a few in the IRC rooms

It only seems that way because a lot of guys play with female models in the game!

And impersonate girls in the IRC chat.
The entire UT community is actually 5 hairy dudes impersonating a few thousand people each.

Better than that, Unreal's protagonist is "canonically" female. The heros of Unreal Tournament and Unreal 2 are black. The hero of UC/UT2003 is fat, the story of UC2 revolves around middle-eastern warriors and one of the main characters is a woman. UT2004's lead trio consists of a black dude, an alien-cyborg dude and a robot. Unreal's line-up until UT3 was so diverse we didn't have a single white heterosexual man in the main cast. :D
You must construct additional pylons.

In order to save the face, I will now claim everywhere that Gorge is, in fact, gay. You heard it first.
