Windows 10 Mouse feels crap in UT99

windows vista had more problems but it has someting todo where the aplications are made for.
So you can just say the compatebility with windows vista was the problem.
For example now here with a virthual machine does not solve the problem when you install windows 10 with ut 99 everything is slower and not good solution.
i did install yesterday ut goty on a virtual machine with vm ware worksstation pro and it runs like shit no more speed or whatsoever.
And now i did a install with 8 gb and still running like a snail.
Wat he best can do is indeed install windows xp with ut 99.
Windows xp is much smaller then later windows versions,he will feel like the whole windows is faster and ofcourse ut 99 also.
Sinds windows xp is much more stable then the crapy windows 98 or milenium, the best choise is windows xp,and also a x64 version for the 4 gb gap.
It also depens wich bios you have if you have a eufi bios it will be tricky to install it, but when windows xp uses ntfs file format also like windows 7,8 or 10 uses there can not be much problems.
I just wanna say happy installing and tell us how fast evrything is.
dr flay edit opengl settings will be a good solution for your mouselag, it helped with me also.

i got 3 problems

Really avoid using drivers from unknown places, better use manufacturer web page. Often you can find out the manufacturer by doing a web search for the hardware ID (see windows device manager for details).

Example for a hardware ID

PCI\VEN_10DE&DEV_1380&SUBSYS_84BB1043&REV_A2

But the chance to get a driver for new hardware but older operation systems decrease by time - the manufacturer simply do not develop it and older drivers may not work any more. Try to find a network driver for OS/2...

So using a virtual machine with (self) defined hardware is the best solution for such cases IMO.

so i decided that im gonna stick to win10 .
moving to windows xp will be a huge mistake

regarding my loading problem . well i got used to it
but!!! some other inis i used in the past days made the game launch as it should - still slow launch but at least in full screen

regarding the inis improving your aim and such...
me and some friends did some research and we keep test inis

right now im using an ini that is much easier to hit enemies with for sure <

we all agree in my country that inis can make u hit better < but not make a pro

one of our players in the country got some "tweaked" ini and he cant snipe u twice in 1sec. - by the time u snipe him he already gives u the second shot...

and another play claims that some "germany" pro player gave him hes ini and now hes so much better at aiming ...

so i know it might sound stupid but inis do effect the AIM somehow..

and i think i know what to look for-
some inis make ur ingame animations FASTER < we are pretty sure that the reason some players look like they shoot faster then others ...

the thing is - we got an ANTI CHEAT program who disabled anything that can count as cheat...so im not sure what commands in the ini can do that kind of stuff...



also im playing so many other games that its not worth installing xp because of them (The witcher 3/ Killing floor 2 and such )

Its all with compatebility and software use.
Windows xp is just to old for downloading proper drivers for your motherboard and vidcard.
Its also not a good plan becouse win xp is already eol.
With windows 10 with your configuration you just can emulate windows xp in a sandbox and try to install ut 99 on that sandbox but.
You whole configuration will be slow and its not worth trying.
Just stick with you windows 10 with opengl.i think this setup with windows 10 will be the fastes.
what you mouse depens:,just edit this opengl, setting posted earlyer by dr flay and you will be fine.
dr flay posted a opengl setting for mouselag.it did helped with me also.
I have no sticky mouse on the menu i within ut 99, the sticky mouselag is gone.
Another solution is steam os wich is based on Linux, its like you are going back to dos , but i personaly did not try it yet.
This os is still on his beta release.maby worth trying.I realy dont know if you must have a steam acount.
Maby worth trying this also on a virtual machine or sanbox.

Isn't that a zp exploit? on the siege server years ago people kept abusing it and they got caught(double shooting sniper, after weapons switch or something, can't really remember anymore).

No we don't over react ...it's simply cheating when you can shoot faster than others by an ini tweak.

How can anyone help you with this? It's totally about preference; you will have to try different settings and find the one you like.

I have the Logitech G502 with a 27" 2560x1440 monitor and switch between 1000, 1800 and 2400 depending on the situation or game. I use a slower 1000 for twitch shooters like UT and Quake, but like a higher setting - 1800 - for Fallout-type games. I use the 2400 for Windows use. You will just have to experiment and find what works for you. 400 seems pretty low though, depending on the width of your mouse pad area. I personally don't like a lot of arm movement when I play so higher sensitivities work well.

Also, your last double post seems to have gone unnoticed by admin. Best be more careful.

its more like ini tweak or something like that...
