I'm running a Linux-based UT99 server with the latest Nexgen installed and special characters like foreign-accented characters don't appear correctly in Nexgen chat.
They appear as empty square boxes instead of being displayed correctly.
I tried the mutator "LinuxCharSetFix" but it did not help - it only fixes special characters in the scoreboard.
Is there anything I can do to enable special characters please?
Special characters (like "éóí") don't appear on Nexgen chat?

If you're brave enough...

Thank you. I'll certainly give it a try.Higor wrote:If you're brave enough...

Do you know what causes the issue in the first place? Is it something to do with the way the Linux server code was compiled, or is it to do with the server on which it runs?

How about code-page installed in OS hosting game. For which reasons I have to see those since I don't have them installed ?
For whatever language used in chat or elsewhere you might ask Gust how was the work with importing Japan chars and their usage (if wants to help).
