In case you don't know (Windows 10 Creators Update)

The creator update seems to resets gamma-Settings in the opengl renderer. The only solution i found is to disable "game-mode" (having it enabled wont allow you to change gamma at all) and then set gamma each time starting ut99.
Maybe someone else has already found a better solution? (in b4 using Windows 7).

Do a rollback to Win 7, the 10 sucks big time

Where do you find that option?

The CU isn't set to roll out until the 11th, unless you choose to update with the update assistant manually or are taking part in the insider's program. Thus, I don't think many people have any hands-on experience with the update yet.

From what I understand, game mode doesn't make much difference unless you are running a weaker system. Best left off.

Just search for "game mode" (it is shipped with the creators update).
But in general you can just deactivate game mode per game by right-mouse on the exe file select properiets> compatiblility > check "disable fullscreen optimization"
But as i said you still will to have set the gamma each time you start unreal tournament (As long as you use the enhancedopengl renderer, i can't say anything about other renderes at this point)

Might be true. But extra performance on some games is still nice to have in my opinion. Point is, you wil still run into the mentioned issue wheter you have game mode enabled or not.
Disable Game Mode will allow you to change gamma in UT but you will have to set it each start.
Having Game Mode enabled wont even allow you to change gamma in-game anymore. UT99 however seems to be the only game with this issue so far.

ok, you want Game Mode enabled for having extra performance on other games but you're tired of changing gamma everytime you start ut99.
have you tought about writing a simple batch file to automatically disable Game Mode (I think it's a win service), change gamma and start ut99 ?

Yeah, well forgive me, but I'll wait and see all of this for myself after it comes out. Many issues are per-user and I don't put much faith in the writings of individual users anymore. I'm not saying you're lying, but you are just one person, that's all.

And early adoption has it's drawbacks and one of them is you become a beta tester, so welcome to that for you. I'll wait until it rolls out through normal channels, after you guys have taken the hit for all of us and MS has made some tweaks. :)

i will hope that you can disable these settings for playing ut99 properly.
a switch so you can turn this on or off whenever you like.

Game Mode IS disabled for Ut99. Still i will have to set gamma each start. Don't ask me why that is case now.
If you have game mode enabled you can't change it AT ALL. Having it DISABLED will allow you to change it but you have to do it each time you start UT. You can disable gamemode per game. I have it disabled in UT.. still i have to set gamma each start of the game. But i guess i'll wait. Maybe i'm the only guy with this issue so gonna fix it myself by programming a small tool.

If you create a custom colour profile, here is a workaround using DisplayCAL Profile Loader for fullscreen exclusive mode. Kudos to the developer for his support. https://hub.displaycal.net/forums/topic ... mma-alone/

I did the creators update and have not problems or fail's ut 99 gameplay, and also not with the gamma settings.
I,m running directx 12 with the opengl driver on windows 10 x 64 home edition. :tu:
At above me i can remember that you can load the gamma settings from the videocard into the software of that videocard, i,ve never done it, but it is possible. The videocard then uses that set of collors what you did load into the memmory of your videocard.
I can remember that from the past but the software maby chanced and maby more modern videocards dont used it anymore.
In my case nvidia control center.
