I do remember back in thos days i was a member on a clan called the bees with the clantac }bees{ and mine name was scarbelly.nl.
We did fight two wars one we lost and won we did win.Alot of clans where active somwhere around 1999-2000.
And our clan was in the first place active on the 348 demo of unreal tournament if i remember correct.
Later we became active on the Original game.
Mine skill was very good i was on top of the ut 99 stats and we did play on some public servers as well.
Names i can remember back in those days was }bee{bmx ,}bee{scarbelly.nl clanless and ofcourse we did had the hab clan also.
Servers where full and packed with players and also alot of clan players in that time period.
Where did they all go , maby they have a family with children and left ut 99 for good.
Ontopic question do you remeber a clan or names from that time period?
It was a period that alot of players where playing ut 99 almost all servers where full.
And also alot of servers who did had passwords and maby where busy with a clanwar, it was ut 99 on his peak and i mis that.
I wish there where more players around now in 2017 so we can frag eachother asses.

Yeah, I used to play on the BEE DM 348 server - quite a few of the demo players from DM are/were active members on the Rockem' Hard forums.
There's also the iNdependent Nation forum but you probably have to have a Yuku account to view it.

Work, family, commitments, shifting interests. The usual stuff I expect

Yes that rockhard members section i did take a look and there indeed some famous ut99 players added also in that period of time-frame with photo.
