Hello Guys, i know i have to report bugs in github but i don't want to do it just for one thing

First, i am glad a new update appear for a game 21 years old like UT99 and hoping it will get as much or even more love like the original unreal has, anyway, does anyone have a problem where you enter to a server that has the 451 version using a client version 469 and when attempt to connect, the audio goes down for a few seconds and then the game freezes and closes afterwards.

Not only you are having issues. For me Galaxy is worst than in older versions. Map-Switching is crashing at UpdateMusic bla bla. I don't think you can update music when garbage collector is removing old Level - just saying...

Until these things will get stable as rock, I won't update my private server. For me 440 + XC24 are X times more stable.

Today I updated UGold at version 227i - all was working perfectly. UT469 does look still behind that old thing at stability chapter.

I thought Galaxy was deprecated and that it would have been removed were not for backwards compatibility concerns.

Galaxy was touched/examined and changes done there... but are not helping that much. MAP-SWITCH is removing ALL, if driver is trying to render something NONE or pending removal, the crash is pretty obvious. Can we just stop ALL Devs when ServerTravel command was ignited ? Whoever needs music when map is switching he should use an external app or external device... AS I DO.

And no, these are not my issues, these are borked C++ things. Update music, huh ? What music ? That previously deleted one ? Good luck with that...
Maybe we have to look for music linked with future map and then starting to send a new stream or a fake stream (silenced stream) until things are ready instead of leaving driver to eat void bubbles, just saying...
So far Editor it's working somehow - except some... still audio issues, lol.
Keep in mind that some of these audio things are having bubbles in U227 too, so there codes are not a "How To" if you are having plans for copy-pasting them into UT. Those drivers were not adjusted to work Also With New Hardware, they were turned to work ONLY with New Hardware pissing off users...

Edit: I was playing the same map 8 times in UGold227i and I have had ZERO problems, so... you can quit idea about a screwed up hardware... this is a software problem not hardware.

Hello!

Just installed 469a patch.
Everything fine but two problems:

(1) In multiplayer internet/LAN mode, some third party models I use as bots are now "broken" (they appear green due to missing skin... for some the whole body, for others only the head).
For instance: "Arab", "Alita", "Sydney", "Bender" and others. I don't know why... and I don't know why only some of them. The aforementioned issue is NOT present in practice mode.
In 436 version all models work perfectly, with their correct skin/textures, in both internet/LAN and practice games.

(2) Still impossible to load dozens of serverpackages lines in Unrealtournament.ini, just like the previous UT versions. (UT crashes, maybe some not bypassable engine limit).

Point (2) won't make any use for Player with old versions like 436. By full filling memory, it returns a player-crash doesn't matter any empty super duper server.
And me one I'm not going to download more than 100 MB anyway.

I'm pretty sure he's referring to server crashes on startup when the ServerPackage/Actors sections are too long (character-wise). I'm running a mutator on my server to spawn the ServerActors manually to workaround this issue.

Exactly. Too many serverpackage lines and it crashes on startup.
