Hi there,
I was an user of UT99 from many time, but this week I am working with Windows10 and try to play on, but I have noticed that image is very dark and using F11 doesn't resolve the matter.
I have a GTX 1060 with 32Gb memory and ryzen 2700x, I thought with all these resources I could play very well, but it is not! :evil:
I watched into my Unrealtournement.ini and looked this:

Code: Select all

[WinDrv.WindowsClient]
WindowedViewportX=512
WindowedViewportY=384
WindowedColorBits=32
FullscreenViewportX=1920
FullscreenViewportY=1080
FullscreenColorBits=32
Brightness=0.000000
MipFactor=1.000000
UseDirectDraw=True
UseJoystick=False
CaptureMouse=True
StartupFullscreen=True
CurvedSurfaces=False
LowDetailTextures=False
ScreenFlashes=True
NoLighting=False
SlowVideoBuffering=True
DeadZoneXYZ=True
DeadZoneRUV=False
InvertVertical=False
ScaleXYZ=1000.000000
ScaleRUV=2000.000000
MinDesiredFrameRate=28.000000
Decals=True
NoDynamicLights=False
UseDirectInput=False
ParticleDensity=0
NoFractalAnim=False
SkinDetail=High
TextureDetail=High
Do I have to change the Brightness from 0.000000 to 1.000000?
Any suggestions??

Thanks

New hardware doesnt always handle older games well.
Resources are enough offcourse.

Check if you're using the latest renderers:

Maybe switching to OpenGL or D3D9, is already enough to solve your problems.

Just download the 3.7 opengl driver and you are save.
the darkness wil be gone pressing f11.
Updated your ut99 with final 436 patch (depens on wich version you have)
And you are home free

there are more tricks and thinks good to know on this forum
seems everything is already solved.
