Really doupt there will be anything from Epic in this time since they're hooked with their GoW crap.
The best special thing can be that there's still lot of players around who really enjoy the game and play it with same passion just like ten years ago.

Best thing we could get is few more updated texture packs from the UTRP folks.

Forget Epic, this is not the same Epic that made the original UT. Expect nothing from them.

This discussion has happened every year for the past 5 years. If epic shut down the master server it wouldnt matter. One of us woul have a new master server up and running in no time. There are also 3 master servers.. Secondly epic would never even acknowledge UT99 anymore. its un supported its almost 10 years old and they make no money from us. Its like micro$oft willing to support windwos 98 still lol

as long as we stay alive and keep the servers full ut99 will go on

what about putting together a massive mod/maps pack for all the best stuff over the last 10 years, with all the graphics tweaks and updates. if anything we would all have the same version for net play.

Im so excited for our ten year anniversary ^_^ i wanted to set something up for the whole community so it would be a giant UT pary where everyone goes to as many servers as possible to show that the game will NEVER die! Ive been playing this game for the whole ten years and i have been threw hell and back and im willing to go threw it all agian for another ten years. i honestly think epic wont do shit for ut99 anymore, and i personaly dont want them to. This is OUR game and we own it, not epic. Us as a community have made this game everything it is today, not them. so lets just have a huge UT party on any server we can play on ^_^ \/\/00T!!!

I just got back into UT99 after being away from it for a few years. I caught my wife playing GTA, and thought to myself "This is like a crappy version of UT", so I dug out my copy and resumed the body count.

Don't think epic will do anything, I believe they should do something. Just because UT99 really started the whole ut series rise. I dunno maybe some new textures or something.
