I'm honestly not sure what I would do if I were this forum's owner.

- obsess over security of the forum and the underlying system
- always be trying to keep it and PHP updated
- making sure its backed up safely
- constantly battling bots and spammers
- probably always tweaking the design and layout in small ways
- always looking for alternative software because I don't trust phpBB

Having done it several times before, running a forum can be stressful so I'm glad its not mine :D

- Change all the colours.
- Randomly exchange people's nicknames.
- Remove random posts in conversations.
- Act extremely harsh against random people and extremely lenient towards others.

I would be a merciful but inscrutable god.

If you have certain suggestions that are not too complicated / time consuming, I am open for that.

- always be trying to keep it and PHP updated
I will update to new major versions (or versions that are important security wise).

- making sure its backed up safely
It gets backed up regularly.

- constantly battling bots and spammers
If there are recurring problems with bots and spammers, we will try to find ways to prevent it.

- probably always tweaking the design and layout in small ways
If you have certain suggestions (not just optical, but practical and useful) that are not too complicated / time consuming, I am open for that.

- always looking for alternative software because I don't trust phpBB
Switching at this point is too time consuming, and I don't see any certain urgent reasons.

Sorry, I wasn't trying to make any reference to how this forum is run or managed - I don't have any specific suggestions to add, just making light of "things I'd be doing if this were my forum" following past experiences of doing so.

All good, sorry if my post sounded like I was offended or salty. I am not! And your points are legitimate in general. Okay, the last point might be personal preference. :D

Its good populated, and members are posting alot, Never changed a winning team i think.
Maby i will changed some minor things.

Well there ofcourse also some maintenance wich i leaf to other admins and moderators just like it is now.
So now and then version updates wich we have recently also was very good.
It also changed some things.
And now we are all used to it.

Same. Someone else will have to be in charge. I've been so busy I hardly even make suggestion anymore.

Edit:
Ok I'll suggest one major implementation I'd like to see.
This is gonna come from Ooper's NodesStats update when he process this (If ever).
-Ooper's NodesStats have stats of players and notify when player is online at %This% Server.
-The forum's profile will have implementation from Ooper's NodesStats notification squadrun.
-The forum display player's name/server location under Rank.

Awesome.

Implementing Server Stats and Player Stats (that ideally can be linked to forum users) in the forum is a dream I've had for a long time.
Unfortunately it would take some time and work to implement it correctly (also in the long run, since it makes updating the forum software more time consuming), and I just didn't feel like going full for it. :/

We did have a look at embedding the special UT99 themed server list from 333networks, but I think we had a problem with it.

If this would be my forum ...I would change nothing.
Until it's necessary
