Hi all
I have three questions:
1) I don't remember what was the command to take pictures inside the game, does anyone remember what command it is?
2) What is the best way to take photos? a) from full screen game or b) from windowed mode game?
3) What is the best screen brightness level in the game to display colors without exaggerated blacks(to avoid fixing into photoshop)?
thanks in advanced
best way to take photos from ut game?

Re: best way to take photos from ut game?
1. shot or sshot
2. What you found handy. I sometimes use game sshot, sometimes external tool. For whole game screen possible better inside game.
Also if you use gamma ramp, only from game with enabled gamma correct screenshot option, you will get sshot with proper brightness.
3. That depends from your tastes and renders. I use max brightness in d3d11, and almost max in d3d9. In OpenGL half of it.

1. 469 save png. ensure you use latest patch (469d) as for now.
2. You can use any what you want. In net floating a lot different tools. You can google them or ask ChatGPT.
3. Gamma ramp - special mode of brightness, which used by d3d7, d3d9 and OpenGL (special settings). It work only in fullscreen and alter whole screen brightness, not only game.
Such not work for video recording, external make sshot and so on. For internal sshots it work only if set special options in config - gamma correct sshots.

Gamma ramp is mode for set gamma.
For d3d7 and d3d9 it is only worked mode. No ini settings.
In 469e you can use shader gamma instead for d3d9.
https://ut99.org/viewtopic.php?p=149705#p149705
So if you not use shader gamma in fullscreen of d3d9, then there applied gamma ramp.
For OpenGl there exists special setting in ini. Which called ColorCorrctionMode.
Better alter it via "preferences" command.
However in 469e gamma ramp remove from options, because it work not properly in some cases, and left screen in bright state, after game exit.

2 questions more:
1) when using sshot, where are the photos located at?
2) Is any command to take picture without thw hud and the pointer weapon?

I use the PRT key on keyboard, then paste from clipboard into PSP and set Gamma to 2 or 3 because image would be too dark otherwise.

1. Sshots located or in System or in System/Screenshots.
2. No Such command but exists cleanhud mutator, which disable all of such. Called from mod menu.
3. Dark because used d3d9/7 with Gamma Ramp. When used shader gamma, all on sshot same bright as on screen.

Re: best way to take photos from ut game?
I use D3D9 driver and the F9 key for screenshots.
For correct gamma I have GammaCorrectScreenshots=True in section [D3D9Drv.D3D9RenderDevice].

@Buggie
The mutator you mentioned was able to hide the hud fully. Also the weapon and player's hands, but... the dot pointer I cannot set to hidden . Is any workaround to set weapon pointer set to invisible or hidden? thanks!

If you mean crosshair, you can set ti to small one so it gone. Or pick type which not draw anything on screen.
From what i remember, this mod must remove crosshair as well.
