Ok this may be a pretty dumb question but:

Ok i understand that when you go online and you join a game using a map you dontcurrently have it downloads it for you. So my question is where are they after they are downloaded? Ive scanned my entire hard drive for the maps I supposedly downloaded over the last 24hrs and I cannot find a single one, yet when i play on a server with a map I just downloaded it comes up right away as if the map was already in the \unreal tournament\maps directory.

Check out your UT\cache directory and in there a file named cache.ini. I hope that information should be enough for you to find your maps

I think theres something called a cache cleaner or something that organises your cache and makes you be able to play the maps offline too
