Levels4You (L4Y) UT99 files at UTzone.de

Post by Sergeant Todd »

Looks like the UT99 files from L4Y (the website closed) will be available soon at UTzone.de. It is a German-language site but has a language chooser at the bottom of the page for English speakers.

Here's what Ragnos told me:
"We receive the L4Y-Files times ago. We gonna add them to our Downloads as soon as possible."

You hear that? ASAP folks! They already have over 200 UT99 maps on-site. :D

Yes, a German site but some words are fixed in their meaning and got never translated (like downloads). Should not be any problem for non-germans to navigate the downloads, I mean thats not Japanese where we would have to deal with strange characters. The english language predominates on the internet anyway.

Then I dont really wonder why those 08/15 mappers`s maps are more famous than some really high quality ones which most likely will never get played online... cry cry too big in file size (even if it is somehow justified), cry cry to many details. Seriuosly those who put a little bit more effort into their maps will usually get kicked in their ass while cube-room mappers get celebrated (again usually) as some kind of heros. At the end only the "average" mappers are really known during online playing, the good ones or the really bad ones (obviously) not.

:| i want to download the UTR map pack but, i would have to pay extra for data thats the main reason why i dont download many maps. i will wait to i go somewere with no limit to download. i agree the best mappers don't get what the ok mappers get online.

an example of a 1/15 map is ctf-andaction just 1 cube and a cylinder,

Yeah, that site is easy to use and I don't speak a word of German. Granted, the main stuff is in Deutche but the descriptions are in English.

Or you can get Chrome and it will auto-translate for you.
Translations are often funny, however.

I used to work at Deutsch Bank, so I tend to favor that when I think German.
