...sadly you can't go inside Voyager.

Gonna need you to be a wee bit more specific.

I think he meant, "Why would the mapper stop you from going into the ship?"

I guess if you haven't made an "inside", then there would be nothing to see anyway.
I don't feel like some one is "stopping me" when I cannot go inside a building. I just figure they did not make it.

....Illogical.
....bzzzzt.
....Does not compute, please re-input data :pfff:

Well obviously they would be them.

I suppose it would've been too much of a memory drag. There's a series of these maps, all unable to get inside Voyager but able to go in and out of the Borg ships.

Pity, I go have the USS Gauge on another map. Starfleet designed vessel. Multiple decks to fight on, turbolifts are teleports.

I swear I don't see why everyone thinks MH-FirstTry is so difficult.

Dificult? Hard to speak of difficulty in MH at all, with respawning, possibility to set an unlimited amount of lives, a lot of teammates, ...
And why do people release their testmaps ...

True. At home I largely play with bots but online I had to take this map above on all by myself.

I dunno if the name "FirstTry" necessarily means it's a testmap. Could be though, I dunno.

It is one of my favorite maps to play MH in. Killerbee's server is usually the only one I ever find playing it.

Every single time I look at those weapons I feel like :barf: lol

Truth to be told, no boss nor monster is difficult to beat with a NW2 Freezer in your possession, it's pretty much the "boss killer" of MH, a couple of shots with it and you just freeze the beast (since it has a small probability to freeze right away regardless of health). With NW3 those maps should return a bit their original difficulty (the new Freezer for instance doesn't freeze that easily anymore).

... he might be referring to the comment regarding "disturbubgly to scale".

can't speak to the borg cube and it's various rooms being to "scale", but the ship is "to scale" in as much as unreal grid units go (16uu = 1 foot). The ship was shaped and dimensioned according to it's actual planform (orthogonal views) and except for the unavoidable blockiness of ue1 bsp it's pretty much accurate in shape. It took me few a few months of time to get it to render properly and look proper under those lighting conditions. I did consider creating internals for the ship, not actually within the ships bsp, but the regular illusional way - things were already getting pretty silly with the map so I left the ship as a prop - the ship. The CTF version had quite a few problems with collision and you could actually get inside the "hull" and get stuck in in all the bsp garbage in there ... in fact, there is a teleporter to let an unfortunate "victim" escape if they can get to it. Anyways, none of these Star trek maps were serious gameplay maps anyways, they were more experimental themic diversions (which are ok for mappers to release occasionally if they feel like it, and these were never meant for clans or servers - it's all been written about anyways).

Yes and no, especially on that map. The final room with the bosses is access by a teleport and they open up on you right when you get in there. Their attacks are devestating.

Most people do suicide runs in there with the WMD and various other nukes. Getting killed dozens of times without even killing one, because once you're through the teleport the life expectancy is about 3½ seconds...

...and even the NW2 freezer doesn't so much do it on them without like at least 6 shots.

I go through once with the vortex, praying it doesn't get destroyed by the giant skaarjs' (is skaarj singular and plural like sheep?) attacks. Then I come back with the freezer.

Surprisingly this is not the smallest Deathmatch map I have.

It's called DM-Bloodbath for obvious reasons.

Please do not tell me you really only play the most awful trash maps at all? If you take some time for searching you surely will find something half decent at least. I mean how can you even consider this single cube as a map at all? :confused2:

If I would know these people releasing such BS... I would ...
