This pic is NOT photoshopped.
Last year I had a flaw with my server where the game would end but our "seeker" missiles would keep flying.
Knowing of this I kept my finger ready for screen shots...got lucky with this one.

Kinda wish that was photoshopped. That looks painful!

I am officially sitting awkward now.

I got lucky with the screen shot because the missile actually just goes right through you...even though
it looks like he was riding the missile.

In this next pic...before the game ended someone fired a "self guided seeker" missile at me.
Luckily I got him before he got me but again his missile still continued after the game ended.
And the only reason I kept the screen shot was because the name on the rocket was showing.

There's a sorely lack of any real ut2004 forums so far as I've seen.

A stretch back I found this great site...
http://www.dorkforce.com/winkyboy_files/UT2004/
...which seems to be down.

More than any other site, it was primarily focused only on ut2004 vehicles. I went through their inventory and downloaded most of it, fortunately. Over a couple weeks I tested every single one of those vehicles before I was satisfied with what I wanted...

...but I kept all of the .zips just in case I ever wanted to switch them.

My onslaught games are very fun because of these, with the excpeption of that one with the starships because I can only use that on that CTF map:

I just use the battle-bikes and the air superiority mod, but I love the look of that tripod.
Do you not have antialiasing on for some reason?

I am guessing by the relative silence, that I am not the only one who fainted ! :omfg:
Very reserved of you Papercoffe. Good job this is UT99.org or the trolls would have come running.

Dude at your/our age, you really should know more about the basics of computing (especially as you are a gamer with a taste for re-texturing).
Open your graphics card options panel now, and familiarise yourself with it's advanced options (it should explain everything with popup help bubbles).
If you set your GFX card to "Use application settings" it will then be controllable in UT's renderer settings in the advanced prefs. "UseAA" also the option to not antialias tiles is useful or overlayed text (menus, orders etc) will look blurry.
I recommend first setting your Atialiasing to half it's total, and if it still plays smoothy you can crank it to the max. On large resolutions it has more work to do, but is less needed (I leave mine on 8X as any higher is not noticeable in the heat of battle).
Your card may well also have option for different methods of antialising.

Once you have your head around your settings, next investigate Anisotropic Filtering :tu:

What I want to do next: Joining an UDK team (uncertain however) and improve 3D modelling and texture editing skills

just another bit regarding the GPU settings (since you're going in there) take a look at "profiles". For NVidea (iirc same for AMD/ATI cards) you can either choose from a big list of games (and other software) where the settings are "preset" or you can tweak if you like. for example, there's a specific profile for Unreal engine 2 games, UE3, etc etc) You can make your own custom one too - in fact you should make custom one's if you're using the editor - UED does NOT like AA (i.e. the famous mouse click problems) so you can kill the AA at the GPU by assigning a profile to UED (well the exe name).

Cheers

I didn't think any of us showed disrespect, just a little shock.
Though I for one should know better than to expect everyone to know everything, as I teach IT skills at most levels.

Like I said we have no trolls under the community bridge, so I hope Evilgrins is on a voyage of discovery, and does not feel we are picking on him.
Excellent addition to the subject by our Braggin-Fragger. I am embarrassed I forgot about the profiles, I've been using an ATI card for a while, and nVidia is more profile-based.
I figured I'd make a posting on driver tweaks, so some of this info would be better placed there.
