What are the dates on the map, just curious?

Because that console map pack has been "updated" a couple of times and the old ones are still floating around too.

I mean unless you pay attention to details even the "made by scratch" version of dm flux looked authentic enough.

Or use the (free) Paint.NET.

Truly not sure how I got roped into this deal, but he periodically sends screenshots of his recent works to my inbox so I can post them here.

I don't mind, but it just seems kinda weird.

Those screenshots look very sexy though, they feel really atmospheric.

The only thing bothering me on those is the mix of low-res with high-res textures.
It's generally best to stick with either one or the other, otherwise they will look out of place.

Wow.

Download link doesn't work... but if you click it you can play Asteroids!

I haven't been playing so much anymore, so I'm clearing out my remaining screenshots... until I eventually make some more.

8 shots to each UT community I'm a member of.

Just for shits & giggles, play Golden Reavers in MonsterHunt!
Image

Because they're essentially super-bots, they will follow bot-pathing. They will clean out most MH maps rapid fast, with the exception of REALLY BIG maps.

An unfortunate downside of the Reavers, that works fine in Deathmatch, is every 5 minutes they double in number. If you've got them running on a really large MH map, eventually they'll cause a massive memory drain until UT crashes... but otherwise they're okay.

From whence they came ยท viewtopic.php?f=12&t=2255
only 1 bot can truly defeat the golden reavers

I love this mutator, playing UT without it should be considered a crime :lol2:

To be honest I already thought in doing a better one eventually.
This one is still fun, but still not bloody and gory enough in my opinion, and the performance and memory footprint can probably be better to allow for more gore to happen.

But the way I really imagine it would require a lot more work than I have put into this one, since I already thought in modelling actual player and monster skeletons for each, along with attachable body parts and organs you can actually recognize and see being pulled apart. It would allow for some cool things like dismemberment and "partial gore", maybe even ragdoll physics, eventually naturally leading to even other mods like zombies generated randomly by using these parts alone.
All still wild ideas though, nothing planned at all for the near future. :)

For me it varies with gametype, or how many pawns are in a game:
Image
Depending on individual setups, or weapons used (or over-enthusiastic UTDMT) the excess in bloody messes can strain UT's memory a tad.

Yes Deathmatch & CTF, also (usually) LMS.

Not so much for MonsterHunt, sometimes but not always.
