wow, nice model, it seems a little too big but maybe it is just a illusion ;p

UT3 sniper rifle was one of my favourite due to its design.

I did not played with size a lot.
The goal was the stability and performance test - 3rd person and pickup models are same, about 3000 polys. While 1st person model is about 12000.
And i did not have any lags, even on my second PC with 486 CPU.

Great results. I see that patched Unreal 1 can kick some ass, no matter its engine more then 10 years old. I will continue my developments for Unreal 1 after i finish port of "UT 2341" mod.

perhaps UT99 needs to be ported backwards onto the Unreal 1 Engine ;)

Well, developers just walked with the times of modern graphics.

Really, why not? We will have all the powers of patch that will increase possibilities for modding and mapping, and we will not lost the spirit of original UT.
The UT Community SDK development is suspended - i talked with Shadow few days ago. He have no enough time to continue, and i can understand him - nowadays life become hardcore difficulty mode... Besides i've talked with people from russian UT comunities - imagine that most of them did not ever heard about SDK, about 227 patch for Unreal 1...I was shocked :omfg:
But the people who know this game closer waiting for some "miracle".
I don't really believe, for example, that UT4 will be a good continuation of UT Classic..
So i don't see any negative things in this idea about port UT stuff back into Unreal 1.

Yeah.
Already done this. Still have some bugs, i did not take an eye on it's code so when i'm trying to pick up it, it dissappears and instead rifle i see sniper ammo box :wtf:

There are not a lot of them. Main my task - finish port of "UT 2341" mod which i'm currently doing.
After that i actually have no any ideas. Probably will work for Unreal 1 - try to port Nali Weapons 3 there for example. Also have some ideas which are possible now only in Unreal 1.
