Re: Obscure UT sites
That was a surprise.
While skimming this thread I remembered that GameFront went down, but when you goto any old link to there it brings up a search page.
Figured what the heck, and entered "Skaarj".
It worked · http://www.gamefront.com/search?q=skaarj&sa=Search
Downloads are still functional, but you gotta keyword the heck outta things to find them.

Yes, that's the new site - just go to http://www.gamefront.com/games/unreal-tournament to bring up all the UT stuff.EvilGrins wrote:That was a surprise.

Re: Obscure UT sites
Skimming the mutators section of this forum and found a human-bot version of the UTDMT.
Along with other downloads from a former member · http://www.proasm.com/ut/prout1.html
Is it just me or does the description for the UTbot sound disturbingly like an aimbot?
Like the UTDMT, UTbot has its own ping.

Re: Obscure UT sites
I'm wondering if a team of people could transfer those downloads towards the new site because for now it's pretty much the moddb stuffEvilGrins wrote:Tested · https://gamefront.online/files/listing/ ... _Missions/ · downloads work!
At least they bring up back gamefront which is nice. Most of those download sites went down and it's quite sad, well for those who misses atomic gamer since there is something archived here.

https://archive.org/details/AtomicGamer ... nreal.1of4
https://archive.org/details/AtomicGamer ... nreal.2of4
https://archive.org/details/AtomicGamer ... nreal.3of4
https://archive.org/details/AtomicGamer ... nreal.4of4
I think that's everything, though where the site died I could browse the TAR online while now it seems I can't anymore ....
Re: Obscure UT sites
Just an FYI to everyone: I've downloaded 2 of the 4 archives so far and there is nothing new/unknown/unavailable elsewhere in them so far. Some fun videos from UT3's comicon show, but not meaningful really. I am downloading the other two as I write but I don't expect anything remarkable.
It's good that the archives are there and stored, but nothing has been lost without them.
Downloaded the third archive: it contains a lot of patches and demos for various UE games as well as a collection of mods, some of which look interesting. All of these archives span the entire series, not only UT. Again however, nothing so far that is unknown or unavailable. One more archive to go and I'll post anything that would be of interest to the forum.

I'm probably gonna give them a go soon for the skins in them.Carbon wrote:It's good that the archives are there and stored, but nothing has been lost without them.

Re: Obscure UT sites
There are no skins. At least not in the 3 of 4 I have checked. In fact, there is very little UT content; mostly UT 2004 and loads of UT3.
The 4th download is still coming in...haven't been home all day.

Re: Obscure UT sites
There's a log file for each TAR listing the contents - SkinCity UT stuff in Beyondunreal 4of4!
