Moddb automatically puts your file in filefront forever (if it's approved of course), unless you delete it yourself (even in that case idk if it still keeps there or it's really removed, I don't remember well).

That's why all my NW2 links points to the moddb filefront version of the mod, I just know they won't disappear :mrgreen: (although it still has downloads everyday)
As for my other mods, I have them in my personal filefront folder, so they may be deleted sooner or later with the new policy (even with the old one they were removed eventually), but I may submit them to filefront or so later.
Many people use it to temporary files and sometimes just plain trash, which fulls their servers up, so it's understandable why they are implementing the new policy, at least to personal accounts.

What I want to do next: Joining an UDK team (uncertain however) and improve 3D modelling and texture editing skills

Yeah, if people setup a front-end at ModDB for their projects, then everything is groovy.
I suppose you can "submit" files that are already there, so a few people will save their old stuff.

Thanks Ferali, you could add that to their thread, if someone else has not pointed it out ;)

The last post dates back to January 2011, I surely won't bump it.

I tried to submit one of my files ... however every time

Game to submit to: Unreal Tournament

I get "Value is required and can't be empty" and the entry is gone ... every damn time. Looks not good...

That post is dated 2009. Surely the policies may have changed.

Is that a file that is already in their system ?
I can see people are still adding stuff to the UT99 section (I can highly recommend the first 3 mods. hehe)

@Creavion: don't bother in submitting it yourself. It's best in so many levels to just create your own account at moddb, and post your downloads there.
1) - You get tons of feedback (more than here I must say, UT1 is still a quite active game in moddb);
2) - They submit your file forever to gamefront and a few other mirrors as well;
3) - You have several statistics;
4) - Is more content oriented rather than discussion oriented (and players want to play with that content, not exactly discuss it).

@Dr. Flay: Yeah, it's still a bit active. However, some of those updates are bogus, they appear bumped with absolutely no new content, news or any virtual changes in the mods/addons.
I even wonder if moddb moderate those bumps somehow, is so easy to bump a mod everyday to get views if we want it's not even funny. Of course, I never bump mine though (if it appears bumped, there are changes or new stuff always).
