Since I accidently stumbled upon this, here's the story behind it: Post migration was not possible at all (would have required a lot of work). But the old forum/site is still available, link can be found on our new forum page.
It's not really that active at the moment, so I invite everybody here to come and please us with a visits, an account, and a lot of posts :)

The forums I listed are all pretty active. Stopped following one, no longer on that list, as it was beyond dead... although they did send me a birthday e-card last week.

There's a few forums I skipped because they're primarily not in English. While my browser has translators built into it, Google Chrome, it seemed too much a hassle.

BU used to be the big dog back in ut99's hey day, but as a lot of the old sites have closed, that were connected to there and and Planet Unreal, what's left are a bunch of folks who just keep on posting without reason.
Dr.Flay wrote:Can't imagine what you must have done GEx to get banned from Unreal Playground, as they still allow Kaal there
On that initial list I've got up top there, Kaal is still a member of at least 3 of those forums.

UP is a little futzy on banning folks. After seeing my list, I've got it posted at my weblink too under the 'forums' tag, Hermskii joined there and got banned in less than a day. I popped on there, brought it to the admins attention, and he got his account back.
Dr.Flay wrote:Grins If you are fool enough to use chrome (I still classify it as spy-ware), then I hope you have excluded yourself from googles data harvesting policies?
I would be that fool! Anyway, I don't actually have any google accounts and I regularly delete my browsing history. Hasn't given me any grief so far.
Hm yeah.. BU. BU has become completely uninteresting for me, too.

I would even go further and say that BU is rather dead UT-wise.
Just like one of their admins said, their offtopic section is the most active section right now by far, and not even the admins even check the other sections anymore.
Once you have a forum which 90% of the activity is offtopic, you're doing it wrong.

Hey... but it's active ...nothing else counts.

Why would it not be possible? What was the old forum software?

Webspell - that software was that awful, that I wouldn't even recommend it to Aslye ;)
It was enough work to transfer the existing accounts, posts would have required way more expenditure, which wasn't it worth in my opinion.

I used to login to http://www.myunreal.com/ when I first started hitting Unreal/UT forums, but stopped as it was very dead.

Got reminded about it last November when it automatically sent me a happy birthday. :D
